Frequently Asked

Questions About Arenastone

What is Arenastone made from?
Arenastone is made from 93%% natural quartz combined with special polymer resins. Quartz is one of the hardest minerals found in nature, which gives Arenastone surfaces their exceptional durability and resilience. The manufacturing process creates a completely non-porous surface that resists stains, scratches, and bacterial growth without ever needing to be sealed.
How long has Arenastone been established?
Arenastone has a remarkable heritage in the UK stone industry. They were the first company to introduce engineered quartz to the British market in the late 1980s, originally as a hardwearing flooring material. As machinery advanced and larger slabs became possible, the product evolved to include kitchen worktops, bar counters, splashbacks, and more. This pioneering history gives the brand decades of manufacturing expertise.
What warranty does Arenastone offer?
Arenastone provides a 10-year residential warranty on all its quartz surfaces. During the first five years, Arenastone will either replace the defective product or pay the full product replacement cost. During years six to ten, they will cover 50%% of the original invoice price. The warranty covers manufacturing defects when the product has been installed and maintained according to their guidelines.
What sizes are Arenastone slabs available in?
Arenastone slabs are available in several sizes to suit different project requirements: 3000 x 1400mm, 3200 x 1550mm, 3200 x 1600mm, and 3300 x 1650mm. Standard thicknesses are 20mm and 30mm. The larger slab sizes mean that even generous kitchen islands and long worktop runs can often be covered with minimal visible joints.
How do I look after my Arenastone worktop?
Arenastone surfaces are remarkably easy to maintain. For everyday cleaning, warm water and a microfibre cloth are usually all you need. For more stubborn marks, a mild non-abrasive household cleaner will do the job. You should avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, scouring pads, or abrasive products. While Arenastone is heat resistant, it is not heat proof, so always use trivets or heat pads when placing hot pans on the surface.
Can Arenastone be used outdoors?
No, Arenastone is not recommended for external or outdoor applications. Like most engineered quartz surfaces, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and weather conditions can affect the resins in the material over time. Arenastone is designed for interior use in kitchens, bathrooms, bars, and commercial spaces where it delivers outstanding long-term performance.
How many designs does Arenastone offer?
The current Arenastone collection includes 28 distinct designs spanning a wide range of aesthetics. The range includes marble-effect Calacatta and Arabescato designs with grey and gold veining, pristine solid whites, warm cream tones, terrazzo-inspired speckled finishes from the Stelline sub-range, and bold statement colours including a striking sky blue and dramatic black sparkle. All designs are available with a polished finish.
Is Arenastone hygienic for kitchen use?
Yes, Arenastone provides an exceptionally hygienic surface for kitchens and food preparation areas. Because it is completely non-porous, there are no microscopic pores or crevices where bacteria, mould, or germs can hide and multiply. The smooth, sealed surface is easy to wipe clean and does not harbour food residues. This makes it ideal for busy family kitchens and commercial food preparation environments where hygiene is a priority.
