Stone Guide
Worktop Edge Profiles
The edge profile you choose transforms the character of your worktop. From a subtle pencil round to an ornate ogee, each detail changes how the stone looks and feels. We offer edge profiles many competitors can't — visit our showroom to see and touch every option.
Pencil Round
Also known as: Eased Edge
A subtle, slightly rounded edge that softens the sharp corners of the stone. The most popular choice for modern, minimalist kitchens.
Bullnose
Also known as: Full Round Edge
Fully rounded on both top and bottom edges, creating a classic half-circle profile. A traditional, durable option that works beautifully on thicker stone. Popular for farmhouse and country kitchens.
Shark Nose
Also known as: Knife Edge
An angular, bevelled profile that tapers to a thinner edge at the bottom. Creates a striking geometric look — sharp, modern, and architectural. Particularly effective on darker stones where the angled face catches the light.
Chamfer
Also known as: Bevelled Edge
A flat 45-degree cut along the top edge. Creates a precise, geometric look that catches the light beautifully. Particularly striking on darker stones and clean, contemporary designs.
Ogee
Also known as: Premium Decorative Edge
An S-shaped curve creating an elegant, ornate profile. One of the most decorative edges available — and one that many competitors can't offer. Our CNC machinery and hand-polishing expertise makes ogee our signature edge.
Half Bullnose
Also known as: Demi-Bullnose
A generously rounded top edge with a flat, square bottom. Creates a softer, more tactile feel than pencil round while keeping a clean profile. A versatile, popular choice.
Why Our Edge Profiles Are Different
Many suppliers outsource their fabrication or rely on basic machinery. We don't. Every edge is cut on our CNC machines and hand-finished by our stonemasons. That's how we offer profiles like ogee and laminated edges that others simply can't.

Which Edge Profile Is Right for You?
Modern, Minimalist Kitchen
Go with pencil round or chamfer for clean lines that complement handleless cabinetry. Pairs beautifully with lighter quartz and sintered stone.
Traditional or Country Kitchen
Bullnose or ogee will add the character your kitchen deserves. These profiles shine on granite and marble, especially in 30mm thickness.
Statement Island or Bar
Shark nose or half bullnose profiles make your island stand out. The shark nose's angular taper creates a dramatic modern look, while half bullnose offers softer, approachable elegance.
