A warm, inviting granite from Finland, showcasing large, distinctive circular golden-brown and tan crystals against a deep chocolate base.

When you choose Baltic Brown, you're bringing a piece of geological artistry into your home. This rich, dark brown granite features truly distinctive large, circular feldspar crystals in warm golden-brown and tan, set against a deep chocolate-brown and black base. These eye-catching, ring-like formations create a bold, recognisable pattern with excellent depth and texture across every slab. Its warm, luxurious palette and high-gloss polished finish make it one of the most popular brown granites, perfect for creating a welcoming and sophisticated kitchen worktop.

Baltic Brown granite hails from the ancient quarries of Ylämaa in Eastern Finland, a region famed for its beautiful and durable stone. Like all granites, it began its journey deep within the Earth's crust as molten magma. As this silica-rich magma cooled incredibly slowly over millions of years, it allowed the individual mineral crystals, particularly the stunning feldspar that gives Baltic Brown its signature look, to grow to a substantial, visible size. This natural process results in a dense, exceptionally hard stone with a coarse-grained, interlocking crystal structure, making it a testament to nature's enduring power and beauty.

Opting for Baltic Brown means choosing a worktop that stands the test of time, both in style and resilience. Granite's inherent hardness (scoring 6-7 on the Mohs scale) means it’s highly resistant to scratches and heat – ideal for the demands of a busy kitchen. With its low porosity, it offers good stain resistance, especially when sealed regularly, which is part of the simple care routine we always recommend. We believe in providing honest advice and expert craftsmanship; from precise hand-templating to seamless joins and beautiful edging, we pour our passion into every installation, ensuring your Baltic Brown worktops are a luxurious yet practical centrepiece in your home for years to come.

★★★★★
"We decided to get bespoke granite work tops for our new kitchen and have to say that we are over the moon with them. From the outset, Ian was very professional when selecting the stone, he listened to what we wanted, went through all of the possibilities that we could have for our worktops and went through the process in detail once we had made a decision. The templateing and fitting was carried out by an incredibly professional and helpful team run by Kev, who knew exactly what they were doing and just got on and made my kitchen look amazing. I would highly recommend In2stone for a helpful, knowledgeable and professional service from start to finish."
