This captivating granite has a rich geological history, quarried from the ancient bedrock of the Bohuslän region on Sweden’s West Coast. Like all granites, Bohus Red is an intrusive igneous rock, formed deep within the Earth's crust as silica-rich magma slowly cooled and solidified over millennia. This gradual process allowed large, interlocking crystals of quartz, feldspar, and mica to form, with accessory minerals like the terracotta-red and dark brown grains giving Bohus Red its unique and vibrant colouring.
