Ivory Chiffon

Ivory Chiffon granite is a gently composed natural stone quarried from the Thiruthangal area of Virudhunagar district in Tamil Nadu, southern India. The slab presents a warm, light sandy beige base with broad undulating bands of lighter cream that drift across the surface in soft horizontal movements. Scattered throughout are fine speckles of dark grey, warm brown, and black — a mineral dusting that adds depth and texture to the light ground. Occasional tiny reflective flecks catch the light, and the polished finish gives the whole surface a subtle, inviting sheen.

Like all true granites, Ivory Chiffon carries the practical advantages of its igneous formation — a Mohs hardness of 6–7 that resists scratching, heat resistance that handles hot pans without concern, and natural UV stability that prevents fading in bright kitchens. Its light colouring and gentle movement make it visually lighter than many granites, closer in appearance to a warm sandstone, but with significantly greater durability and lower maintenance requirements. Annual sealing maintains its stain resistance at a level that lighter-coloured marble cannot match.
