Juperana Torrone

Juperana Torrone granite takes its name from the Italian for nougat — and the comparison is apt. Quarried from the state of Ceará in northeastern Brazil, this stone presents a light creamy off-white base almost entirely covered in a dense, irregular mosaic of warm golden-brown, reddish-brown, and dark charcoal-grey mineral deposits. Smaller, lighter flecks add translucent highlights throughout, and the highly polished finish brings significant reflectivity that amplifies the warmth in the mineral palette. There is no veining — the character is entirely mottled and speckled, creating a surface that is bold and richly textured.

Brazilian granites from the Ceará region are known for their complex mineral compositions, and Juperana Torrone is no exception. The interlocking crystalline structure delivers Mohs 6–7 hardness, strong heat resistance, and the kind of density that keeps porosity well below the threshold where staining becomes a concern — provided annual sealing is maintained.
