Rosa Beta

Rosa Beta granite is quarried from the Gallura region of northeastern Sardinia — specifically from the quarrying areas around Arzachena, Luogosanto, and Monte Limbara. This is one of Italy's most established and widely used granites, exported globally for both interior and exterior applications for well over a century. The slab presents a mottled base of bright white and light-to-mid grey granules with warm pale pinkish-beige undertones subtly interspersed throughout. Dense irregular flecks of charcoal grey and black are evenly distributed, creating a busy yet understated speckled character without any veining or directional pattern.

Rosa Beta has earned its reputation through consistency and reliability. Sardinian granite formations are among the oldest in Europe — Palaeozoic intrusions that have weathered and been exposed over hundreds of millions of years. The stone they produce is exceptionally dense, hard, and uniform, with the kind of structural integrity that has made it a standard specification for Italian architectural projects from municipal buildings to church floors. For kitchen worktops, this translates to Mohs 6–7 hardness, excellent heat resistance, and a very low porosity that makes the stone highly responsive to sealing.
