This exquisite marble journeys to us from the quarries of Espírito Santo, Brazil, a region known for its rich geological heritage. Like all marbles, Iceberg Honed began its life millions of years ago as limestone or dolostone, transformed through intense heat and pressure deep within the Earth's crust into a non-foliated metamorphic rock. Its pristine, soft colours are primarily due to the recrystallisation of calcite, with only the faintest presence of accessory minerals giving rise to its subtle grey veining – a testament to its geological purity.
