This impactful marble is quarried in the famed region of Tuscany, Italy, a land renowned for its exceptional natural stone. Formed deep within the Earth over millennia, this non-foliated metamorphic rock began as limestone, recrystallizing under immense heat and pressure into the dense calcite mosaic we see today. The deep charcoal-grey veining comes from carbonaceous impurities like graphite, while the striking olive-green hues are often indicative of accessory minerals such as serpentine, lending each slab its unique, untamed character.
