Sourced from the majestic Aosta Valley in the Italian Alps, Verde Alpi carries the geological narrative of its mountainous birthplace. As a metamorphic rock, this marble began its journey as limestone, transformed over millennia by intense heat and pressure deep within the Earth's crust. It's during this process that the calcite crystals recrystallised, and various minerals, likely including serpentine, imparted the intense green hues we see, while other mineral impurities created the dramatic white veining.
