Verde Oriental is an exceptionally deep, boldly dramatic natural stone that brings an intense visual spectacle to any space. Its background is a spectacularly dark, incredibly rich emerald to almost blackish-green, creating a powerfully deep canvas. This intense surface is magnificently defined by a wonderfully messy, shattered-looking network of incredibly sharp, crisp white crystalline veins that crisscross in a beautifully chaotic, striking web, offering immense power and a highly contrasting character.
We source our Verde Oriental from the historic quarries of Rajasthan, India – a region renowned for its rich geological heritage. This exceptional marble begins its journey deep within the Earth, where limestone undergoes intense heat and pressure over millions of years, transforming into a dense, interlocking mosaic of calcite crystals. The striking emerald to almost blackish-green background is typically formed by the presence of minerals like serpentine, while the dazzling white veins are often pure calcite or other accessory minerals pushed into intricate patterns during this metamorphic process.
