The Stone

See the natural beauty of White Carrara C Extra up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this marble unique.

An exceptionally pure Italian Carrara marble, where a brightly luminous white hosts delicate, feathery sweeps of palest silver-grey veining.

White Carrara C Extra is a beautifully refined, spectacularly elegant premium Italian marble, treasured for its exceptionally clear, brightly luminous, and incredibly pure white background. The exquisitely clean surface is wonderfully animated by incredibly delicate, widely dispersed, soft feathery sweeps of the palest silver-grey veining. This particular grade offers a much whiter, cleaner aesthetic than standard Carrara, creating a wonderfully pristine and flawlessly sophisticated character.

Quarried from the renowned Carrara region of Tuscany, Italy, this material originates from limestone or dolostone that has undergone intense heat and pressure over millennia. This metamorphic process recrystallizes calcite crystals into a dense, interlocking mosaic, forming the marble. The exceptional purity of this specific grade is a testament to minimal accessory minerals, while the palest silver-grey veining is typically formed by very fine graphite or other trace impurities within the calcite matrix.

At In2Stone, we believe this exceptionally high-end marble is ideal for exceptionally bright luxury worktops, whether in kitchens, bathrooms, or as striking splashbacks. While marble carries a Mohs hardness of 3-5 and is sensitive to acids, its classic beauty is unparalleled. We guide our homeowners through the simple care steps – primarily regular sealing and mindful use – to ensure their investment remains a stunning centrepiece for generations. Our passion for craftsmanship ensures every slab is hand-templated and installed with precision, honouring the natural beauty of the stone.

Frequently Asked

Questions About White Carrara C Extra

What gives White Carrara C Extra its distinctive look compared to other Carrara marbles?
This specific grade stands out with an exceptionally clear, brightly luminous, and incredibly pure white background. It features unusually delicate, widely dispersed, soft feathery sweeps of the palest silver-grey veining, offering a much cleaner aesthetic than standard Carrara grades.
What design styles or colour palettes best complement White Carrara C Extra?
Its pristine white background and subtle silver-grey veining make it perfect for both minimalist and classic luxury designs. It pairs beautifully with cool-toned cabinetry, natural wood accents, or sleek metallic finishes to create exceptionally bright and sophisticated spaces.
How durable is White Carrara C Extra marble, and what care does it require?
As a natural marble, it rates a 2 for hardness and stain resistance. While durable against heat, it is softer than granite and sensitive to acids, which can etch its surface. We recommend regular sealing and immediate clean-up of spills to maintain its beauty, especially for kitchen worktops.
Where is White Carrara C Extra quarried, and how does its origin influence its quality?
This premium marble originates from the renowned Carrara region of Tuscany, Italy – a source celebrated for centuries for its high-quality stone. The specific geological conditions in Carrara produce a metamorphic rock with an interlocking calcite crystal structure, contributing to this grade's exceptional purity and delicate veining.
How does White Carrara C Extra compare to alternative worktop materials like quartz or granite?
White Carrara C Extra offers an unmatched natural elegance and purity that quartz or granite emulate but don't replicate. While quartz is more resilient to scratches and stains, and granite is harder, this marble provides a truly unique, soft aesthetic. It's a luxury choice valued for its distinctive visual character, requiring attentive care to preserve its beauty.

Clearly attentive to detail, accurate work; it's a perfect fit. 3) Kev and Gav came to fit. Very accommodating. Worked cheerfully around obstacles I had thrown in their path.
