The Stone

See the natural beauty of Acai up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this porcelain unique.

Colour:

Dark Grey Brown

An almost-black surface with a warm bark-like texture — the deepest, most intense shade in Laminam's Japanese-inspired Ki No Bi collection.

Laminam Acai is an exercise in restrained intensity. Its very dark brown, near-black surface carries a subtle warm undertone that prevents it from feeling cold or clinical, while a fine organic texture — reminiscent of natural bark or charred timber — gives the surface a tactile depth that flat black surfaces simply cannot achieve. Part of the ultra-thin Ki No Bi collection, Acai is available at just 2mm thickness, making it exceptionally versatile for wall cladding, furniture wrapping, and overlay applications where traditional 20mm slabs would be impractical. Despite its thinness, the surface delivers the full scratch, heat, and stain resistance that defines all Laminam porcelain. A bold, earthy choice for homeowners who want depth and warmth in their darkest surfaces.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Acai

What makes Laminam Açaí visually distinctive?
Laminam Açaí stands out for its rich, deep purple-brown tones inspired by the açaí berry — a colour palette that is extremely rare in natural stone and almost impossible to find in other porcelain ranges. The surface features dramatic veining and tonal depth that create a jewel-like richness, making it one of the most distinctive and statement-making surfaces in the entire Laminam collection.
What kitchen styles suit Laminam Açaí?
Açaí's rich berry tones and dramatic character make it best suited to bold, contemporary, and luxury kitchen designs. It works beautifully with dark cabinetry in charcoal or deep green and creates a striking contrast against clean white or pale grey units. The surface is a statement piece — ideal for homeowners who want their worktop to be the centrepiece of the kitchen rather than a neutral background element.
Is the colour of Laminam Açaí consistent across the slab?
Like natural stone, Laminam Açaí features deliberate tonal variation across the slab — shifts between deeper purple-brown and lighter burgundy tones that give the surface its dynamic, organic character. This variation is carefully designed to replicate the natural movement found in exotic stone, so no two areas of the slab look identical. This is by design and is what gives Açaí its dramatic visual impact.
Can Laminam Açaí be used for bathroom vanity tops?
Açaí is an excellent choice for luxury bathroom vanity tops and surrounding surfaces. Its completely non-porous nature means it is immune to water damage, soap residue, and cosmetic staining. The rich, deep colour creates a spa-like atmosphere of indulgence, and the porcelain's resistance to humidity, temperature fluctuations, and cleaning chemicals ensures it will maintain its dramatic beauty in wet environments indefinitely.
Which Laminam collection does Açaí belong to?
Açaí is part of Laminam's exclusive Rare collection — a curated selection of extraordinary stone reproductions that represent the most dramatic and unusual colourways in the range. The Rare collection is designed for homeowners and designers seeking surfaces that are genuinely exceptional and impossible to replicate with natural stone at any practical price point.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
