The Stone

See the natural beauty of Arabescato Corchia up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this porcelain unique.

Colour:

White Grey Brown

Cream-white porcelain with dense charcoal and golden-brown veining — a bold Italian marble recreation with real drama.

Optimum Arabescato Corchia is a striking recreation of one of Italy's most prized marbles, rendered in hard-wearing porcelain stoneware. Its off-white to light cream base is completely covered by dense, dramatic veining that flows diagonally across the slab in an intricate, fragmented network. The veins range from fine threads to medium-broad formations in warm dark brown-grey that deepens to charcoal in denser areas, with subtle hints of golden beige interspersed throughout. The polished finish amplifies the contrast between the light base and the dark, layered veining, creating a surface with genuine visual weight and movement. As a porcelain surface, Arabescato Corchia offers advantages that natural marble and quartz cannot match — it's completely heat-proof, UV-stable, and impervious to staining. Hot pans can be placed directly on the surface without damage. Manufactured in extra-large 1840 × 3300mm slabs from 100% natural raw materials. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Arabescato Corchia

What does Optimum Arabescato Corchia look like?
Arabescato Corchia has an off-white to light cream base completely covered by dense, dramatic diagonal veining. The veins form an intricate, fragmented network in warm dark brown-grey that deepens to charcoal in denser areas, with subtle golden-beige hints. The polished finish creates strong contrast. It's one of the boldest marble recreations in the Optimum range.
What makes porcelain different from quartz worktops?
Porcelain stoneware is fired at extremely high temperatures, making it completely heat-proof — you can place hot pans directly on the surface. It's also fully UV-stable, so it won't discolour in sunlight, making it suitable for outdoor kitchens. Quartz is resin-bound and can be damaged by extreme heat and prolonged UV exposure.
Can I put hot pans directly on Arabescato Corchia?
Yes — this is one of porcelain's key advantages over quartz and natural stone. Optimum porcelain is impervious to thermal shock. You can place boiling pots, hot pans, and baking trays directly on the surface without any risk of burning, cracking, or discolouration. No trivets required.
What slab size is Arabescato Corchia available in?
Optimum slabs are manufactured in extra-large 1840 × 3300mm format — larger than most quartz slabs. This allows for expansive, seamless installations across kitchen islands and long runs with minimal joins. Available in 12mm and 20mm thicknesses.
Is Arabescato Corchia suitable for outdoor kitchens?
Absolutely. Porcelain stoneware is fully UV-stable, meaning the colours and veining won't fade or change under prolonged sunlight exposure. It's also frost-resistant and impervious to moisture. These properties make it one of the best materials available for outdoor kitchen worktops and barbecue surrounds.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
