Style:

Concrete Effect Industrial Matte Finish

Light warm greige porcelain with soft mottled movement — a serene concrete-effect surface with urban calm.

Optimum Concrete Light Grey offers a lighter, warmer take on the industrial concrete aesthetic. Its very light warm greige base — almost a muted off-white — is covered by soft, diffuse patches of lighter and subtly darker warm brown-grey that create gentle, random movement across the surface. There are no veins, no sharp lines, no granular texture — just the organic, weathered quality of well-cured concrete rendered in a calm, contemporary palette. The matte, honed finish gives the surface a smooth, understated character that feels serene rather than harsh. Where Concrete Graphite is darker and more industrial, Light Grey brings the same concrete authenticity in a brighter, more accessible tone that works in a wider range of kitchen settings. As porcelain stoneware, it's completely heat-proof, UV-stable, and maintenance-free. Manufactured in extra-large 1840 × 3300mm slabs from 100% natural raw materials. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Concrete Light Grey

What does Optimum Concrete Light Grey look like?
Concrete Light Grey has a very light warm greige base with soft, diffuse patches of lighter and darker warm brown-grey creating gentle mottled movement. There are no veins or granular details — just the organic, cloudy tonal shifts of weathered concrete. The matte finish keeps it smooth and serene. It reads as a calm, contemporary concrete surface.
How does Concrete Light Grey compare to Concrete Graphite?
Both share the same concrete-effect aesthetic and matte finish, but they differ significantly in tone. Graphite is a darker mid-grey with an industrial edge. Light Grey is a warmer, brighter greige that feels calmer and more accessible. Graphite suits moody, dramatic kitchens; Light Grey works in brighter, Scandinavian-inspired or soft contemporary spaces.
Is Concrete Light Grey suitable for a small kitchen?
Yes — the light, warm tone keeps a kitchen feeling open and spacious without the starkness of pure white. The matte finish avoids reflective glare in compact spaces. The subtle mottled pattern adds visual interest without busyness, making it a practical choice for smaller kitchens where simplicity is key.
What cabinetry pairs well with Concrete Light Grey?
White or pale timber cabinetry creates a bright, Scandinavian-inspired look. Soft sage green or blush pink picks up the warm greige undertone beautifully. For contrast, charcoal or navy handleless units create definition. Matt black tapware and hardware complement the industrial concrete character without making the space too dark.
Does the matte finish stain?
No — Optimum porcelain is completely non-porous regardless of finish. The matte surface is impervious to staining from coffee, wine, oil, or any kitchen product. Clean with warm water and a neutral detergent. No sealing or special treatments are ever needed.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
