The Stone

See the natural beauty of Fior Di Bosco up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this porcelain unique.

Colour:

Grey White Brown Red

Muted mid-grey porcelain with white veining and reddish-brown patches — a moody, complex Italian marble recreation.

Optimum Fior Di Bosco captures the rich, atmospheric character of its natural Italian marble namesake. The muted mid-grey base with subtle cool undertones is traversed by a moderate to dense network of veining in bright white to off-white, varying from fine threads to bold, broad lines. What sets Fior Di Bosco apart is the distinctive patches and secondary lines of warm reddish-brown that appear alongside and within the white veining, creating a complex, multi-tonal pattern. The polished finish brings the three-colour interplay — grey, white, and reddish-brown — into sharp focus, creating a surface with real visual depth. This is a marble-effect design with genuine personality, suited to kitchens that value rich, atmospheric character over simple clean lines. As porcelain stoneware, it delivers all this beauty with complete heat resistance, acid immunity, and zero maintenance. Manufactured in extra-large 1840 × 3300mm slabs from 100% natural raw materials. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Fior Di Bosco

What does Optimum Fior Di Bosco look like?
Fior Di Bosco has a muted mid-grey base with cool undertones, crossed by moderate to dense veining in bright white to off-white. Distinctive patches and lines of warm reddish-brown appear alongside the white veining, creating a complex, multi-tonal pattern. The polished finish brings the three-colour interplay into sharp focus. It's moody, rich, and atmospheric.
What makes Fior Di Bosco different from other grey marbles?
Most grey marble-effect surfaces pair a grey base with white veining only. Fior Di Bosco adds a third colour — warm reddish-brown — that appears in patches and secondary lines within the pattern. This creates a richer, more complex character than simple grey-and-white designs, with a warmth and depth that's quite distinctive.
What cabinetry colours complement Fior Di Bosco?
The warm reddish-brown accents pair beautifully with rich timber, deep olive green, and warm charcoal cabinetry. Brushed copper or bronze hardware picks up the brown tones. For a lighter contrast, cream or warm grey units work well. Avoid very cool blue-grey schemes that may clash with the warm brown elements.
Is Fior Di Bosco suitable for a feature wall?
Yes — the dramatic, multi-tonal pattern creates a powerful visual impact on vertical surfaces. The 12mm thickness option is designed for wall cladding applications. Using the same material on the worktop and a feature wall behind the hob creates a seamless, gallery-like effect.
How does porcelain handle daily kitchen use?
Optimum porcelain is designed for heavy daily use. It's extremely hard-wearing, completely non-porous, and impervious to heat — hot pans can go directly on the surface. It resists staining from all common kitchen substances and cleans with just warm water and a neutral detergent. No sealing or special care is needed.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
