The Stone

See the natural beauty of Aurora Dune up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Light warm beige quartz with diagonal cream and brown-grey veining — a soft, sandy marble-effect with natural warmth.

BQS Aurora Dune is named well — its light warm beige base carries the soft, sun-warmed quality of sand dunes. The surface is extensively patterned with moderate to dense diagonal veining that alternates between subtle creamy white tone-on-tone variation and more contrasting warm brown-grey lines. The veining ranges from fine threads to medium thickness, creating an elegant marble-effect movement that feels natural and organic. The polished finish brings out the warm tonal shifts beautifully, giving Aurora Dune a luminous quality under kitchen lighting. This is a surface for kitchens that embrace warmth — it pairs naturally with timber, natural stone flooring, and earthy colour palettes. The absence of any speckling or granular texture keeps the look clean and refined. Engineered from 93% natural quartz by Brachot, non-porous, and requiring no sealing. Available in jumbo 3200 × 1600mm slabs with 20mm or 30mm thicknesses. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Aurora Dune

What does BQS Aurora Dune look like?
Aurora Dune has a light warm beige base patterned with moderate to dense diagonal veining. The veins alternate between subtle creamy white tone-on-tone shifts and more contrasting warm brown-grey lines, ranging from fine threads to medium thickness. The polished finish is smooth and luminous. It reads as a soft, sandy marble-effect with genuine warmth.
How does Aurora Dune compare to Taj Mahal?
Both are warm, beige-toned marble-effect designs, but they differ in depth. Taj Mahal has denser, more flowing veining with a natural quartzite character — it feels more layered and structured. Aurora Dune has a lighter, softer quality with tone-on-tone cream variation alongside the brown-grey veining. Aurora Dune is gentler and sandier; Taj Mahal is richer and more geological.
What cabinetry colours work with Aurora Dune?
The warm beige tones pair naturally with cream, soft sage, warm grey, and natural timber cabinetry. Sandy, coastal colour schemes complement the dune-like quality beautifully. Brushed gold or antique brass hardware picks up the warm tones. For contrast, soft navy or forest green units create a grounded, layered look.
Is Aurora Dune suitable for a bathroom?
Yes — the warm, soft tones create a relaxing, spa-like atmosphere in bathrooms. It works well as a vanity top or countertop, complementing both chrome and warm metal fixtures. The non-porous surface handles moisture, soap, and cosmetics without staining, and never requires sealing.
Does the warm beige colour affect how the kitchen feels?
Warm beige surfaces make a kitchen feel inviting and comfortable rather than stark or clinical. Aurora Dune's sandy warmth works particularly well in kitchens with plenty of natural light, where it picks up and amplifies the warm tones. In north-facing kitchens, the warmth can help counteract the cooler natural light.

"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
