The Stone

See the natural beauty of Bianco Fontana up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Light off-white quartz with cool grey flowing veining — a classic marble-effect surface with gentle horizontal movement.

BQS Bianco Fontana presents a classic marble-effect character built on a very light off-white base. Intricate veining in soft, cool light grey flows organically across the surface with a general horizontal movement, creating a sense of calm, directional flow. The veins vary from fine threads to medium-width lines, occasionally broadening into more diffused areas that soften the overall pattern. The horizontal direction of the veining gives Fontana a distinctive quality — it reads as a naturally flowing surface that follows the length of a worktop run or island, creating visual continuity rather than cutting across the surface. The polished finish adds a subtle sheen, while the faint underlying granular texture in the white base prevents it from looking too flat. Engineered from 93% natural quartz by Brachot, non-porous, and requiring no sealing. Available in jumbo 3200 × 1600mm slabs with 20mm or 30mm thicknesses. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Bianco Fontana

What does BQS Bianco Fontana look like?
Bianco Fontana has a very light off-white base with moderately dense veining in soft, cool light grey that flows with a general horizontal movement. The veins range from fine threads to medium thickness, occasionally broadening into more diffused areas. The polished finish has a subtle sheen. The overall effect is a classic, calm marble look with gentle directional flow.
How does Bianco Fontana differ from Bianco Venatino?
Both are white-based marble-effect designs with grey veining, but they differ in density and mood. Venatino has denser, more intricate, randomly distributed veining with warmer tonal accents — it's busier and more complex. Fontana has a gentler, more horizontal flow with cooler grey tones and a calmer overall character. Fontana is more restrained; Venatino is more detailed.
Why does the horizontal veining direction matter?
Horizontal veining creates visual continuity along the length of a worktop run or island — the pattern flows with the surface rather than cutting across it. This can make a kitchen feel longer and more spacious. It also makes planning multi-slab installations easier, as the flow naturally follows the worktop direction.
What cabinetry pairs best with Bianco Fontana?
The cool grey veining on a clean white base pairs well with both warm and cool cabinetry. White or pale grey units create a seamless, contemporary look. Soft blue or sage green cabinetry complements the cool grey tones. Warmer options like cream or timber add contrast. Chrome or brushed nickel hardware fits the cool palette perfectly.
Can Bianco Fontana be used for matching worktops and splashbacks?
Yes — the calm, horizontal flow of the veining works particularly well when continued up a splashback. The horizontal direction creates a cohesive, expansive feel across both the horizontal and vertical surfaces. Using the same material throughout eliminates grout lines and simplifies cleaning.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
