Reflective Speckled

Deep charcoal grey quartz with subtle white reflective flecks — a dark, refined surface with a delicate sparkle.

BQS Grey Mirrorlux pairs a deep, uniform charcoal grey base with a sparse scattering of minute bright white flecks that catch the light. There's no veining or directional pattern — the surface reads as a consistent dark grey with a delicate shimmering quality that reveals itself under kitchen lighting. The polished finish amplifies the effect, with the tiny reflective particles creating points of light against the dark backdrop. Grey Mirrorlux is a surface for kitchens that call for dark, grounding presence with a touch of refinement. The charcoal base acts as a visual anchor in open-plan spaces, while the subtle sparkle prevents it from feeling flat or heavy. It's particularly effective as an island surface under pendant lighting, where the reflective flecks come alive. Engineered from 93% natural quartz by Brachot, non-porous, and requiring no sealing. Available in jumbo 3200 × 1600mm slabs with 20mm or 30mm thicknesses. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Grey Mirrorlux

What does BQS Grey Mirrorlux look like?
Grey Mirrorlux has a deep, uniform charcoal grey base with a fine granular background and sparse, minute bright white flecks scattered across the surface. There's no veining or pattern — the interest comes from the subtle shimmer created by the reflective particles under kitchen lighting. The polished finish brings out this sparkle effect.
Does Grey Mirrorlux show marks easily?
Dark surfaces do show dust, water spots, and fingerprints more readily than lighter ones. However, the fine granular texture and reflective flecks help disguise minor surface marks compared to a flat solid dark surface. A quick wipe with a damp cloth keeps it looking sharp, and the non-porous surface means nothing stains.
What cabinetry pairs well with Grey Mirrorlux?
Light cabinetry creates the most striking contrast — white, pale grey, or light timber fronts against the dark worktop make both elements stand out. For a moodier scheme, mid-grey or navy units with chrome or brushed nickel hardware continue the cool, sophisticated tone. The reflective flecks pick up metallic accents beautifully.
How does Grey Mirrorlux compare to Black Mirrorlux?
Both share the reflective fleck concept but on different bases. Grey Mirrorlux is charcoal grey — dark but not as deep as true black. Black Mirrorlux has a deeper, richer black base with a more dramatic contrast. Grey Mirrorlux is the more versatile option for kitchens where true black might feel too imposing.
Is Grey Mirrorlux suitable for a kitchen island?
It's an excellent island choice. The jumbo slab format minimises joins, and the uniform, non-directional pattern means there's no veining to match across slabs. Under pendant lighting, the reflective flecks create a genuine feature — the surface subtly sparkles as you move around it.

"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
