The Stone

See the natural beauty of Taj Mahal up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Colour:

Beige Cream Brown

Warm beige quartz with flowing brown and tan veining — a natural quartzite-inspired surface with quiet warmth.

BQS Taj Mahal captures the warm, layered beauty of natural quartzite in engineered form. Its warm beige base is interlaced with dense, flowing veining that runs diagonally across the surface, varying from fine, thread-like tendrils to medium-broad bands in light warm brown and subtle tan tones. Lighter, almost off-white areas appear between the veins, adding genuine depth and a sense of natural geological movement. The continuous, flowing pattern gives Taj Mahal a classic natural stone character that feels organic and considered rather than manufactured. The polished finish brings out the subtle tonal shifts beautifully, making it a strong choice for kitchens and bathrooms where warmth and natural texture are the priority. Engineered from 93% natural quartz by Brachot, non-porous, and requiring no sealing. Available in jumbo 3200 × 1600mm slabs with 20mm or 30mm thicknesses. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Taj Mahal

What does BQS Taj Mahal look like?
Taj Mahal has a warm beige base interlaced with dense, flowing veining in light warm brown and tan tones. The veins run predominantly diagonally, varying from fine thread-like tendrils to broader bands, with lighter off-white areas in between that add depth. The polished finish brings out the warm tonal shifts. It has a natural quartzite character — organic and flowing.
What colour schemes pair well with Taj Mahal?
The warm beige and brown tones pair naturally with earthy palettes — warm timber, terracotta, soft greens, and natural linen. Cream or warm taupe cabinetry complements it beautifully. Brushed gold or antique brass hardware picks up the warm tones in the veining. For contrast, deep olive or charcoal units work without clashing.
Is Taj Mahal warm or cool in tone?
Distinctly warm. The beige base and brown-tan veining give it an inherently warm character — there's no cool grey or blue undertone. This warmth makes it inviting and easy to live with, particularly in kitchens that receive plenty of natural light and in homes with warm flooring like timber or natural stone tiles.
How does Taj Mahal compare to BQS Midas Gold?
Both have warm-toned veining, but on different bases. Midas Gold has a bright, cool white base with golden-brown veining, creating more visual contrast. Taj Mahal has a warm beige base with brown-tan veining, so the tones are closer together and the overall effect is softer and more blended. Taj Mahal is warmer and more subtle; Midas Gold is brighter and more defined.
Does Taj Mahal quartz require sealing?
No. Like all BQS quartz, Taj Mahal is completely non-porous and never needs sealing. Clean with warm soapy water or a mild stone cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive pads. Use chopping boards and trivets as standard practice to protect against scratches and heat.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
