The Stone

Plain Solid Speckled

Deep warm brown-black quartz with dense fine speckling — a bold, solid dark surface with subtle depth.

Caesarstone Jet Black from the Classico collection delivers commanding depth in a near-solid dark surface. Its very deep warm brown-black base — almost soft charcoal in certain light — carries a dense, uniform granular texture of extremely fine particles in slightly lighter dark brown and very dark grey. There's no veining or directional pattern — just the consistent, high-density speckling that gives the surface subtle movement at close range. The matte, honed finish avoids the fingerprint-magnet quality of high-gloss black surfaces, making Jet Black more practical than it might appear. The warm brown-black tone is softer and more approachable than a cold, pure black. Caesarstone notes that cream-coloured cleaning products should be tested on a hidden area first with dark colours. Engineered from up to 90% natural quartz minerals with a lifetime residential warranty. Available in jumbo 3270 × 1640mm slabs with 20mm or 30mm thicknesses. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Jet Black

What does Caesarstone Jet Black look like?
Jet Black has a very deep warm brown-black base with dense, uniform granular speckling in slightly lighter dark brown and dark grey particles. There's no veining or pattern — just consistent, fine-grained texture across the whole surface. The matte finish has no sheen or reflection. It reads as a bold, solid dark surface with subtle depth visible up close.
Is Jet Black true black?
Not quite — it has a warm brown-black tone that can read as soft charcoal in certain lighting. This warmth makes it more forgiving and liveable than a cold, flat black. The fine speckling also softens the appearance compared to a pure solid black. Under warm kitchen lighting, the brown undertone becomes more apparent.
Do dark worktops show marks?
Dark surfaces do show dust, fingerprints, and water marks more than lighter ones. However, Jet Black's matte finish reduces fingerprint visibility compared to a polished black, and the fine speckling helps disguise minor marks. For best results, keep the surface dry and wipe down after use. Avoid cream-coloured cleaning products on dark surfaces.
What cabinetry pairs with Jet Black?
White cabinetry creates the classic high-contrast monochrome look. Dark timber creates a warm, moody scheme. Pale grey units provide softer contrast. For a dramatic full-dark kitchen, charcoal or dark green cabinetry with Jet Black worktops creates an enveloping, sophisticated space. Brushed gold or brass hardware adds luxury warmth.
Is Jet Black suitable for a bar or island feature?
Absolutely. The bold, dark surface creates a dramatic focal point when used as an island or bar top, particularly when contrasted against lighter perimeter worktops. Under pendant lighting, the warm brown-black tone and subtle speckling create sophisticated depth. It's equally effective in commercial bar and reception settings.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
