The Stone

See the natural beauty of Raw Concrete up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Style:

Concrete Effect Industrial Matte Finish Plain

Light taupe-grey quartz with a matte concrete-effect finish — a quiet, understated industrial surface.

Caesarstone Raw Concrete from the Metropolitan collection is the purest expression of concrete in the range. Its uniform light taupe-grey base is almost entirely plain, with only extremely sparse, barely perceptible thread-like inclusions in off-white scattered randomly across the surface. The whole surface has a very fine granular texture of minuscule dark and off-white speckles that create the authentic concrete character. The matte, non-reflective finish gives Raw Concrete the honest, unfinished quality its name promises. Where Fresh Concrete is brighter and cleaner, and Frozen Terra is busier with visible speckling, Raw Concrete sits in the middle — a composed, quiet grey with the barest suggestion of texture. It's industrial minimalism at its most refined. Engineered from up to 90% natural quartz minerals by Caesarstone with a lifetime residential warranty. Available in jumbo 3270 × 1640mm slabs with 20mm or 30mm thicknesses. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Raw Concrete

What does Caesarstone Raw Concrete look like?
Raw Concrete has a uniform light taupe-grey base with extremely sparse, barely visible thread-like inclusions in off-white. The entire surface has a very fine granular texture of minuscule specks. The matte finish is completely non-reflective. It reads as a calm, plain, honest concrete surface — the purest industrial expression in the Metropolitan range.
How does Raw Concrete compare to Fresh Concrete and Frozen Terra?
Fresh Concrete is the lightest — a pale ivory-cream near-solid. Frozen Terra is the most textured — dense visible speckling on greige. Raw Concrete sits between them in both colour and texture — a mid-tone taupe-grey with very subtle granular texture. Fresh is clean, Frozen is busy, Raw is composed and quiet.
Is Raw Concrete truly grey?
It's a taupe-grey — not a cold, steely grey but a warmer, slightly brownish tone. This warmth makes it more liveable than a pure grey in domestic kitchens. Under warm lighting it reads as a soft, approachable grey; under cooler light the taupe undertone is more apparent. It avoids feeling cold or clinical.
What cabinetry works with Raw Concrete?
White handleless cabinetry creates the classic concrete-and-white contemporary look. Dark charcoal or anthracite units create a moody, tonal industrial scheme. Natural timber adds warmth to balance the grey. Matt black hardware is the natural partner — chrome would feel too polished alongside the matte concrete finish.
Does the concrete finish need different care?
Slightly. Caesarstone recommends keeping concrete-finish surfaces dry and wiping liquid spills promptly to prevent patina build-up. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Avoid leaving standing liquid for extended periods. The care difference is minor in practice, and many prefer the tactile matte quality for everyday kitchen life.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
