The Stone

See the natural beauty of Shitake up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Colour:

Beige Brown Black

Warm sandy beige quartz with fine brown speckling and dark flecks — a cohesive, earthy solid surface.

Caesarstone Shitake from the Classico collection offers a warm, grounded alternative to the neutral greys. Its uniform warm sandy beige base is covered by a moderate density of fine speckles in slightly darker warm brown-beige, interspersed with occasional minute dark brown to almost-black flecks that add depth. There's no veining or directional movement — just a consistent, fine-grained appearance across the whole surface. The matte, honed finish keeps Shitake feeling natural and unpretentious. Named after the mushroom, the colour captures that same earthy, organic warmth — a surface that feels connected to nature rather than manufactured. The fine speckling and occasional darker flecks provide just enough visual interest to prevent flatness while maintaining the near-solid, cohesive character. Engineered from up to 90% natural quartz minerals by Caesarstone with a lifetime residential warranty. Available in jumbo 3270 × 1640mm slabs with 20mm or 30mm thicknesses. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Shitake

What does Caesarstone Shitake look like?
Shitake has a uniform warm sandy beige base with fine speckles in slightly darker brown-beige and occasional minute dark brown to near-black flecks. There's no veining or pattern — just consistent, fine-grained speckling. The matte finish has no sheen. It reads as a warm, earthy, near-solid surface with subtle natural texture.
Why is it called Shitake?
The colour takes its name from the shiitake mushroom — capturing the same warm, sandy-brown earthy tone. Like the ingredient, the surface has a natural, organic quality that feels grounded and honest. It's a colour that suits kitchens designed around food, nature, and warmth.
What kitchen styles suit Shitake?
The warm beige palette works in farmhouse, Mediterranean, rustic, and warm contemporary kitchens. It pairs naturally with timber, terracotta, wicker, and natural stone. The earthy tone also complements warm metals like brushed bronze and copper. It creates an inviting, homely atmosphere suited to kitchens that are the heart of the home.
How does Shitake compare to Pebble?
Both are Classico designs with fine speckling, but they differ in temperature. Pebble is a warm grey — cooler and more neutral. Shitake is a warm sandy beige — warmer and more earthy. Pebble suits cooler colour schemes; Shitake suits warmer, earthier palettes. Both are similarly understated and practical.
Are the dark flecks noticeable?
The dark brown to near-black flecks are very small and occasional — they add subtle depth to the overall texture without creating a busy or dramatic appearance. They're most visible up close and help break up the uniformity of the beige speckling. The overall effect remains calm and cohesive.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
