Industrial Textured Matte Finish Linear

Dark charcoal quartz with horizontal rust streaks and oxidised patina — a raw, industrial surface with tactile depth.

Coante Cathara Bronze shares the industrial DNA of its sibling Adira Bronze, but pushes the aesthetic further. Its deep charcoal-grey base carries prominent warm brown undertones and is covered by dense horizontal streaks and bands of muted brown-grey. Distinctive areas of rust-orange and reddish-brown are interspersed throughout, particularly along the linear features, creating a convincing oxidised metal effect that gives the surface a genuinely weathered character. The matte finish and fine granular texture add a tactile quality that reinforces the raw, industrial feel — this is a surface that invites touch. Part of Coante's Arteo 3D collection, Cathara Bronze is produced using advanced printing on a 93% natural stone base, delivering the look of aged corten steel with all the practical advantages of engineered quartz: non-porous, stain-resistant, and zero maintenance. Available in 3200 × 1600mm jumbo slabs with 20mm or 30mm thicknesses. Supplied and installed by In2Stone throughout Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Cathara Bronze

What does Coante Cathara Bronze look like?
Cathara Bronze has a deep charcoal-grey base with warm brown undertones, covered by dense horizontal streaks in muted brown-grey. Distinctive rust-orange and reddish-brown patches appear throughout, creating a convincing oxidised metal effect. The matte finish and granular texture give it a raw, tactile quality — it genuinely looks and feels like weathered corten steel.
How does Cathara Bronze differ from Adira Bronze?
Both share the industrial aesthetic, but Cathara Bronze is bolder. It has more prominent warm brown undertones in the base, denser horizontal streaking, and more visible rust-orange colouration. Adira Bronze is darker and more subtle — its oxidised patches are sparser and the overall mood is more restrained. Cathara Bronze is the more dramatic of the two.
Is Cathara Bronze suitable for an outdoor kitchen?
While the industrial look suits outdoor settings, standard quartz is not recommended for outdoor use as prolonged UV exposure can affect the resin binder over time. For outdoor applications, In2Stone recommends sintered stone surfaces like Dekton or porcelain like Optimum Surfaces, which are fully UV-stable.
What design elements pair with Cathara Bronze?
It works brilliantly with exposed brick, raw concrete, reclaimed timber, and black steel framework. Matt black tapware and industrial-style pendant lights complement the weathered aesthetic. For contrast, pair it with lighter perimeter worktops in white or pale grey quartz to prevent the kitchen feeling too dark overall.
Does the matte finish require different cleaning?
No — the care routine is the same as any Coante quartz. Clean with warm soapy water or a mild stone cleaner. The matte finish is actually more forgiving than polished surfaces when it comes to showing fingerprints and water marks, and the dark, textured surface disguises everyday marks well.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
