The Stone

Natural Stone Effect Textured

Warm beige quartz with dense crystalline veining and layered depth — a natural quartzite-inspired surface.

Coante Petra Taj draws its inspiration from natural quartzite stone, recreating the layered, crystalline quality of geological formations in engineered quartz. Its soft, warm off-white to light beige base carries subtle tonal variations across the surface, overlaid with a dense, intricate network of diagonal veining that flows from corner to corner. The veins vary from fine fracture-like threads to medium bands in translucent lighter off-white against deeper beige-grey areas, creating genuine visual depth. The Arteo 3D printing process gives Petra Taj a sophistication that goes beyond standard quartz design — the layered, crystalline texture makes the surface feel closer to natural stone than most engineered alternatives. The polished finish brings out the tonal shifts and translucent qualities of the pattern beautifully. Built from 93% natural stone, non-porous, and backed by a 25-year warranty. Available in 3200 × 1600mm jumbo slabs with 20mm or 30mm thicknesses. Supplied and installed by In2Stone throughout Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Petra Taj

What does Coante Petra Taj look like?
Petra Taj has a soft, warm off-white to light beige base with subtle tonal variations. A dense, intricate network of veining flows diagonally across the surface, with fracture-like threads and translucent lighter areas set against deeper beige-grey zones. The overall effect is of a layered, crystalline natural stone — closer to quartzite than marble in character.
What is Petra Taj inspired by?
Petra Taj takes its aesthetic cues from natural quartzite — a metamorphic stone prized for its layered, crystalline appearance. The Arteo 3D printing process recreates the depth and complexity of geological formations, with translucent-looking veins and subtle tonal shifts that give the engineered surface a convincingly natural feel.
What colour schemes suit Petra Taj?
The warm beige-cream tones pair naturally with earthy colour palettes — think warm timber, terracotta, soft greens, and natural stone flooring. It also complements cream or soft taupe cabinetry beautifully. For a more contemporary look, contrast it with cooler grey or charcoal units to let the warm stone character stand out.
Is Petra Taj a good choice for a bathroom?
Absolutely. The warm, natural stone aesthetic works beautifully in bathrooms, particularly when paired with natural materials like timber and brushed brass. The non-porous quartz surface handles moisture, soap, and cosmetics without staining, and never needs sealing — making it far more practical than the natural quartzite it's inspired by.
How durable is Petra Taj compared to natural quartzite?
More durable in daily use. Natural quartzite requires periodic sealing and can be sensitive to certain chemicals. Petra Taj delivers a similar look with the practical advantages of engineered quartz — non-porous, stain-resistant, scratch-resistant, and maintenance-free. It's backed by Coante's 25-year warranty.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
