The Stone

See the natural beauty of Zenit up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Colour:

Grey Charcoal White

Dark charcoal grey quartz with soft diagonal veining in cool grey — a refined, moody marble-effect surface.

Coante Zenit strikes a balance between dark drama and quiet restraint. Its deep charcoal grey base is smooth and polished, crossed by subtle veining in light cool grey to off-white that flows predominantly from upper left to lower right. The veins range from fine threads to medium-width lines, with gentle branching and a slightly fractured appearance that creates organic movement without overwhelming the surface. Where Valiente Black goes bold with its stark white-on-black contrast, Zenit is more measured — the veining blends more softly into the dark base, giving the surface a sophisticated, understated quality that works particularly well in contemporary and industrial-inspired kitchens. Crafted from 93% natural stone, non-porous, and backed by a 25-year warranty. Available in jumbo 3200 × 1600mm slabs with 20mm or 30mm thicknesses. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Zenit

What does Coante Zenit look like?
Zenit has a deep charcoal grey base with a smooth, polished finish. Subtle veining in light cool grey to off-white flows diagonally across the surface, ranging from fine threads to medium-width lines with gentle branching. The overall effect is dark and moody but not overpowering — more sophisticated restraint than bold drama.
How does Zenit differ from Valiente Black?
Both are dark surfaces with lighter veining, but the mood is quite different. Valiente Black has a near-black base with stark white-grey veining in web-like clusters — it's much more dramatic. Zenit is charcoal grey rather than black, and its veining is softer, subtler, and flows more gently. Zenit is the choice for understated moodiness.
What kitchen styles suit Zenit?
Zenit works particularly well in contemporary, industrial, and modern minimalist kitchens. It pairs beautifully with concrete-look splashbacks, matt black tapware, and handleless cabinetry in pale grey, white, or natural timber. It can also anchor a more luxurious scheme when combined with brushed brass accents and dark timber.
Will Zenit make my kitchen feel dark?
It depends on the overall scheme. The charcoal base is dark, but pairing it with light cabinetry, pale walls, and good lighting keeps the space feeling open. In open-plan kitchens with plenty of natural light, a dark worktop can actually ground the room and add visual weight without making it feel enclosed.
Does Zenit quartz require any special care?
No special care needed. Like all Coante quartz, Zenit is non-porous and never requires sealing. Clean with warm soapy water or a mild stone cleaner. The dark polished surface can show water marks if left to dry naturally, so a quick wipe with a dry cloth after cleaning keeps it looking its best.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
