The Stone

See the natural beauty of Carrara Zero up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

An almost pure white quartz with the faintest grey wisps — minimal Carrara character with less than 1% crystalline silica for safer fabrication.

Carrara Zero is the most minimal stone in the Cullifords Quartz collection. Its surface approaches pure white, with only the faintest grey cloud-like shadows scattered sparingly across the slab. The visual texture is so subtle that from a distance the stone reads as a clean, uniform white — ideal for spaces where understatement is key. Beyond its aesthetic restraint, this product contains less than 1% crystalline silica, making it a safer choice for fabricators during cutting and polishing. The polished finish is bright and reflective, amplifying the clean, spacious feel this stone brings to any environment.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Carrara Zero

What does 'less than 1% silica' mean and why does it matter?
Most quartz worktops contain high levels of crystalline silica, which generates hazardous dust during cutting and polishing. Carrara Zero is formulated with less than 1% crystalline silica, significantly reducing the health risk for fabricators. For the end customer, the finished surface performs identically to standard quartz — the low-silica benefit is primarily a safer manufacturing process.
How does Carrara Zero compare visually to the standard Carrara?
Carrara Zero is more minimal — its grey wisps are fainter and more scattered than the standard Carrara, which has more defined cloudy grey patches. From a distance, Carrara Zero reads almost as a plain white surface with the barest hint of natural movement. If you want more visible grey detail, the standard Carrara has a stronger marble character.
Is Carrara Zero really as durable as regular quartz despite having less silica?
Yes. The surface hardness, stain resistance, and scratch resistance are equivalent to standard quartz worktops. The formulation achieves this by substituting other minerals for the crystalline silica while maintaining the same performance characteristics. You are not sacrificing durability for the lower silica content.
What type of kitchen suits Carrara Zero best?
Carrara Zero is ideal for very clean, minimal kitchen designs where maximum brightness and simplicity are the priority. Its near-white appearance with only the faintest grey detail makes it a natural fit for handleless, all-white contemporary kitchens or Scandinavian-style spaces where understatement is key. It also works well in small kitchens where a bright surface helps the room feel larger.
Can fabricators cut Carrara Zero without specialist dust extraction?
While the low silica content significantly reduces the health risk, professional fabricators should still follow best practices for dust management during cutting. The reduced silica makes it a preferred choice for many workshops, but standard safety equipment and wet-cutting techniques should always be used regardless of silica levels.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
