The Stone

See the natural beauty of Alpine Shimmer up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Style:

Sparkle

An off-white quartz with the subtlest shimmer — barely-there sparkle on a clean, warm cream base for a soft, understated finish.

Alpine Shimmer is the most understated surface in the Cullifords Quartz sparkle range. Its off-white, slightly warm cream base carries only the faintest scatter of tiny dark speckle particles and an extremely subtle shimmer from fine reflective flecks. From any distance the stone reads as a near-solid warm white — the sparkle is perceptible only at close range and in direct light. There is no veining, no pattern, and no bold colour — just a clean, quiet surface with the gentlest possible texture. Ideal for spaces where the practical benefits of quartz are needed but the appearance should be as simple and neutral as possible.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Alpine Shimmer

What colour is Alpine Shimmer really — is it white or cream?
Alpine Shimmer is an off-white with a slight warm cream undertone. It is not a bright, cool white like White Mirror, but nor is it a distinctly yellow cream. The tone sits in the warm white category — clean and light, but with a touch of warmth that stops it feeling clinical. Despite its name suggesting mountain greenery, there is no green whatsoever in this stone.
How noticeable is the shimmer effect in Alpine Shimmer?
Very subtle. Alpine Shimmer has the faintest shimmer of any product in the sparkle range — tiny reflective flecks that are only perceptible at close range and in direct light. From normal viewing distance, the surface appears as a near-solid warm white with the barest hint of fine speckle texture. If you want sparkle that is felt rather than seen, this is the stone.
Is Alpine Shimmer similar to a plain white quartz?
Very close. It approaches the simplicity of a plain white surface but with the gentlest possible texture from sparse dark speckle particles and barely-there shimmer. If you tried a pure plain white and found it too stark or featureless but still want something very clean and minimal, Alpine Shimmer adds just enough visual warmth without any pattern or veining.
What makes Alpine Shimmer different from White Mirror?
They are quite different despite both being light sparkle surfaces. White Mirror has distinct grey speckles and obvious mirror-chip sparkle on a bright white base — lively and textured. Alpine Shimmer is much warmer and nearly plain, with only the faintest speckle and shimmer. Alpine Shimmer is the quieter, warmer choice; White Mirror is brighter and bolder.
Does Alpine Shimmer require any special care compared to other quartz?
No — the care routine is identical to every other quartz surface. Warm water and a mild detergent with a soft cloth for daily cleaning. No sealing, no polishing, no special products needed. The very light colour means spills are visible and should be wiped promptly, but the non-porous surface prevents staining even if a spill goes unnoticed for a while.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
