The Stone

See the natural beauty of Blue Lagoon up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Style:

Terrazzo Effect Dramatic Bold

Cool grey quartz with dense blue-grey crystalline breccia-like inclusions — a bold, naturally dramatic surface.

Nilestone Blue Lagoon creates a geological surface through densely packed crystalline fragments. Its light cool grey base with off-white and faint warm beige-grey patches is densely packed with irregularly shaped inclusions in deep cool blue-grey or slate grey of varying sizes. These darker inclusions exhibit a fine intricate web-like pattern of lighter almost white or very pale grey within their mass suggesting granular or crystalline texture. The smooth finish has a subtle sheen. Blue Lagoon reads as breccia or granite — a geological surface where fragments are cemented together. The web-like lighter patterns within each dark fragment add depth and complexity. Engineered from 93% natural quartz with polymer resins. Non-porous, scratch resistant (Mohs 7), NSF and Greenguard certified. 15-year warranty. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Blue Lagoon

What does Nilestone Blue Lagoon look like?
Blue Lagoon has a light cool grey base with densely packed deep blue-grey or slate inclusions of varying sizes. Each inclusion has a web-like internal pattern of lighter grey creating crystalline texture. Smooth finish with subtle sheen. A naturally dramatic breccia-like surface — geological fragments with intricate internal detail.
What creates the web-like internal patterns?
Each darker blue-grey inclusion contains a network of lighter, almost white veining within its mass. This web-like pattern references the crystalline structure visible in many natural minerals — the lighter veins represent grain boundaries and internal fractures within the stone fragments.
What is a breccia effect?
Breccia is a geological term for rock composed of angular fragments cemented together in a matrix. Blue Lagoon's dense blue-grey inclusions on a lighter grey base create this fragmented, cemented appearance. It's a more geological, natural stone look than the terrazzo effect of Emerald Green.
What cabinetry suits Blue Lagoon?
White cabinetry creates brightness against the cool, dark-fragment surface. Navy or dark blue cabinetry connects with the blue-grey tones. Natural timber adds warmth. Chrome or brushed nickel hardware complements the cool palette. The busy pattern means simpler cabinetry profiles work best.
How does Blue Lagoon differ from Cloud Burst?
Both are blue-toned designs but with completely different characters. Cloud Burst has abstract mottled clouds — atmospheric and painterly. Blue Lagoon has dense crystalline fragments — geological and structured. Cloud Burst is stormy sky; Blue Lagoon is ocean floor. Different blue experiences.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
