The Stone

See the natural beauty of Calacatta Venatino up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Bright white quartz with warm grey branching veining and pale gold hints — an elegant, sophisticatedly refined surface.

Nilestone Calacatta Venatino brings Italian marble refinement through directional branching veining. Its bright white base serves as a clean background for moderate diagonal and branching veining with both bold flowing patterns and finer thread-like lines. The veins are predominantly light warm grey with occasional subtle hints of creamy beige or pale gold within more delicate strands. The polished finish is smooth and reflective. Venatino — referencing the historic Venatino quarry region — has the most classically refined character among the Calacattas. The branching pattern creates natural tree-like structures where bold veins split into finer threads. Engineered from 93% natural quartz with polymer resins. Non-porous, scratch resistant (Mohs 7), NSF and Greenguard certified. 15-year warranty. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Calacatta Venatino

What does Nilestone Calacatta Venatino look like?
Calacatta Venatino has a bright white base with moderate diagonal veining in light warm grey with subtle hints of creamy beige or pale gold. Bold flowing veins branch into finer threads. Polished and reflective. An elegantly refined marble — the branching pattern creates sophisticated, tree-like natural structures.
What does Venatino mean?
Venatino references a specific marble quarry and tradition in the Carrara region of Tuscany. Venatino marble is known for its fine, elegant grey veining on white backgrounds — more refined and understated than bold Calacatta or dramatic Statuario. The name signals a classically elegant marble aesthetic.
What are the pale gold hints?
Within the finer, more delicate vein strands, occasional hints of creamy beige or pale gold appear. These are very subtle — barely perceptible at distance but adding warmth on close inspection. They prevent the veining from being purely cool grey and add nuance. Under warm lighting these golden hints become more apparent.
What cabinetry suits Venatino?
The refined, classic marble character suits both traditional and contemporary kitchens. White cabinetry creates clean elegance. Cream connects with the pale gold hints. Natural timber adds warmth. Shaker-style cabinetry complements the classic marble aesthetic. Both chrome and brass hardware work with the warm-cool veining balance.
How does Venatino compare to Carrara?
Both are refined white marble designs, but from different traditions. Carrara has softer, feathery grey veining — gentle and atmospheric. Venatino has more structured branching veining with occasional warm hints — more defined and elegant. Carrara is soft romance; Venatino is composed refinement.

"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
