The Stone

See the natural beauty of Concrete Oyster up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Colour:

Grey Silver

Pale cool grey quartz with subtle cloudy movement and fine granular texture — a quiet, minimally concrete-effect surface.

Nilestone Concrete Oyster brings architectural concrete character to the quartz range. Its uniform pale cool grey base carries a subtle cloudy pattern of irregular broad patches in slightly darker mid-grey interspersed with occasional very faint silvery highlights creating soft movement without distinct veining. The matte or honed finish has fine granular texture or subtle speckling across the entire slab. Concrete Oyster is for kitchens that want industrial material character without marble drama — quiet, textural, and unassumingly modern. The fine granular texture and matte finish reinforce the concrete reference. Engineered from 93% natural quartz with polymer resins. Non-porous, scratch resistant (Mohs 7), NSF and Greenguard certified. 15-year warranty. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Concrete Oyster

What does Nilestone Concrete Oyster look like?
Concrete Oyster has a uniform pale cool grey base with subtle cloudy mid-grey patches and faint silvery highlights. Fine granular texture with matte or honed finish. No distinct veining. A quietly concrete-effect surface — industrial material character in a minimalist, textural quartz presentation.
What creates the concrete effect?
The combination of matte finish, fine granular texture, and subtle cloudy tonal variation replicates the look of smoothly poured concrete. Real concrete has natural colour variation and fine aggregate texture — Concrete Oyster captures these qualities while being non-porous and zero maintenance.
How does this compare to real concrete?
Real concrete worktops are porous, can stain permanently, may crack, and require regular sealing. Concrete Oyster delivers the aesthetic without any practical drawbacks — non-porous, stain-proof, extremely durable, and zero maintenance. It's the concrete look for people who actually cook.
What design schemes suit Concrete Oyster?
Industrial, Scandinavian, and minimalist contemporary kitchens. Natural timber adds warmth. White cabinetry creates clean contrast. Dark cabinetry creates depth. The understated grey works with any colour accent — it's a true neutral foundation. Matt black hardware reinforces the industrial character.
Is the matte finish practical?
Matte finishes hide fingerprints and water spots far better than polished surfaces. The fine granular texture further camouflages daily marks. Concrete Oyster is one of the most practical Nilestone designs for busy households — low visual maintenance and forgiving of everyday use.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
