The Stone

See the natural beauty of Calacatta Encore up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Colour:

White Gold Brown Cream

Pale cream quartz with bold rusty brown-gold fractured veining — a warm, dramatic marble statement surface.

Sempre Calacatta Encore brings warmth and boldness together in one of the most striking designs in the Sempre range. Its off-white to very pale cream base provides a bright, warm backdrop for prominent veining in warm rusty brown-gold that traverses the slab in irregular, fractured patterns. The veins are moderately thick to bold, moving diagonally with a subtle granular texture visible within them. Faint, fine greyish-white veins interweave in the background, adding secondary depth. The polished finish creates strong contrast between the light base and the warm-toned veining, making Encore a genuinely bold marble-effect design. The warm brown-gold palette sets it apart from the cooler grey calacatta interpretations in the range — it feels luxurious and inviting rather than architectural. Manufactured by AKG Surfaces in the Sempre range with a 25-year warranty. Available in jumbo 3200 × 1600mm slabs with 20mm or 30mm thicknesses. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Calacatta Encore

What does Sempre Calacatta Encore look like?
Calacatta Encore has an off-white to pale cream base with prominent, moderately thick to bold veining in warm rusty brown-gold. The veins follow irregular, fractured diagonal patterns with a granular texture within them. Faint greyish-white veins interweave in the background. The polished finish creates strong warm contrast. It's a bold, warm marble statement.
How does Encore compare to Arabescato Gold?
Both feature warm, golden-toned veining on white bases, but they differ in pattern and warmth. Arabescato Gold has denser, more complex veining mixing grey with golden-brown accents. Encore has bolder, more defined warm brown-gold veining with less grey — the warm tones are more dominant and concentrated. Encore is warmer; Arabescato Gold is more complex.
What cabinetry colours complement Encore?
The warm brown-gold veining pairs beautifully with cream, warm grey, and natural timber cabinetry. Brushed gold or antique brass hardware picks up the rusty gold tones perfectly. Dark walnut or espresso-stained timber creates a rich, enveloping warmth. Avoid cool blue-grey schemes that would fight against the warm palette.
Is the fractured veining pattern realistic?
The irregular, fractured quality gives the veining a genuinely geological character — it looks like natural stone that was formed under pressure rather than a smooth, decorative illustration. The granular texture visible within the broader veins adds to this authenticity, creating a tactile quality within the polished surface.
Can Encore be used as a splashback?
Yes — using the same material from worktop to wall creates the most seamless, impactful result. The bold brown-gold veining flowing continuously across the horizontal and vertical surfaces creates a powerful visual statement. The 20mm thickness works well for splashback applications where a slimmer profile is preferred.

"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
