The Stone

See the natural beauty of Calacatta Vicenza up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Off-white quartz with translucent grey veining and coppery gold accents — a refined, warm-toned calacatta marble design.

Sempre Calacatta Vicenza marries translucent grey forms with warm metallic accents. Its off-white base carries prominent, moderately dense diagonal veining characterised by broad, diffuse areas of light warm grey that often appear translucent. Interspersed within these broader patterns are finer thread-like veins in a soft coppery gold or warm beige, accompanied by very thin darker grey lines that add definition. The polished finish creates a refined, sophisticated marble-effect that balances drama and restraint. The coppery gold accents give Vicenza a distinctly warm, luxurious quality — it feels like natural calacatta marble warmed by candlelight. The translucent quality of the broader grey areas adds atmospheric depth rather than flat colour. Manufactured by AKG Surfaces in the Sempre range with a 25-year warranty. Available in jumbo 3200 × 1600mm slabs with 20mm or 30mm thicknesses. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Calacatta Vicenza

What does Sempre Calacatta Vicenza look like?
Vicenza has an off-white base with prominent diagonal veining in broad, diffuse light warm grey that appears translucent. Finer veins in soft coppery gold or warm beige interweave throughout, with very thin darker grey lines adding definition. The polished finish is smooth and refined. It's a warm, sophisticated marble-effect with a luxurious metallic quality.
What creates the coppery gold accent?
Fine thread-like veins in a soft coppery gold or warm beige tone are interspersed within the broader grey veining pattern. They're most visible where they cross areas of white base between the grey formations. Under warm lighting, the coppery quality becomes more pronounced. These accents give Vicenza its distinctive warm, luxurious character.
How does Vicenza compare to Calacatta Nuvo?
Both feature warm metallic accents within grey marble veining, but they differ in character. Nuvo has broader, more organic grey forms with golden-brown detail — it's flowing and luminous. Vicenza has translucent grey areas with coppery gold accents and darker definition lines — it's more refined and architecturally structured. Vicenza feels more sophisticated; Nuvo feels more expressive.
What cabinetry colours suit Vicenza?
The warm, luxurious palette pairs beautifully with cream, warm grey, and rich timber cabinetry. Brushed copper or brass hardware picks up the coppery gold accents perfectly. Deep green or plum cabinetry creates a rich, jewel-toned scheme against the warm marble. Avoid cool blue-grey schemes that would clash with the warm metallic tones.
Is the translucent quality visible in real life?
Yes — the broad grey areas have a genuinely diffuse, atmospheric quality rather than appearing as flat, opaque colour. The translucency is most apparent under natural light and warm overhead lighting, where the grey areas seem to glow softly from within. This depth is part of what gives Vicenza its refined, natural marble character.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
