The Stone

See the natural beauty of Bianco Calacatta up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Bright white base with bold dove-grey diagonal veining and fine charcoal threads in classic marble elegance.

Silestone Bianco Calacatta delivers the classic Calacatta marble proposition — bold grey veining on a bright white base — with the precision and performance of Hybriq+® engineering. The veining runs predominantly diagonally in wavy formations, rendered in a cool light-to-medium dove grey with moderate density. Finer thread-like lines in slightly darker charcoal grey weave between the bolder veins, adding an intricate secondary layer. The polished finish is smooth with an even reflection that enhances the marble character. There is no speckling, flecking, or granular texture — just clean veining against pristine white. Bianco Calacatta achieves its elegance through clarity: the vein colour is consistent, the base is bright, and the pattern has enough movement to feel natural without becoming chaotic. It is one of the most recognisably marble-like surfaces in the range. Part of Silestone's Eternal collection, manufactured in Almería, Spain with Hybriq+® technology. Minimum 20% recycled materials, 100% renewable energy. Non-porous, stain-resistant, NSF and Greenguard certified. Supplied in jumbo 327 × 159 cm slabs with a 25-year warranty. Installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Bianco Calacatta

How does Bianco Calacatta compare to real Calacatta marble?
Bianco Calacatta captures the classic Calacatta look — bold grey veining on a bright white base — with engineered consistency. Natural Calacatta varies dramatically between slabs and requires regular sealing. This Silestone version provides a predictable, uniform pattern across the jumbo slab, never needs sealing, and carries a 25-year warranty. The dove grey veining is cool-toned, matching the traditional Calacatta palette.
What kitchen designs complement Bianco Calacatta?
The classic marble aesthetic works in both contemporary and traditional kitchens. White Shaker cabinets create a timeless European kitchen feel, while dark navy or charcoal cabinets make the white worktop pop dramatically. The cool grey veining pairs well with chrome, brushed nickel, and stainless steel hardware. For warmth, add natural timber bar stools or shelving.
Is Bianco Calacatta stain-proof for daily cooking?
Completely. Bianco Calacatta is non-porous, so liquids cannot penetrate the surface. Red wine, turmeric, beetroot, coffee — all common kitchen staining culprits — wipe away cleanly. Unlike natural Calacatta marble, which stains readily without sealing, this surface requires no maintenance beyond daily wiping with a damp cloth.
Where is Bianco Calacatta manufactured?
Manufactured by Cosentino in Almería, Spain using Hybriq+® technology. The composition uses minimum 20% recycled materials and production runs on 100% renewable electricity with 99% recycled water. Bianco Calacatta is part of the Eternal collection — Silestone's premium marble-effect range.
How do I keep the white base of Bianco Calacatta pristine?
Wipe daily with a damp microfibre cloth and mild soap. For coloured spills like turmeric or red wine, wipe promptly — the non-porous surface prevents permanent staining, but prompt cleaning avoids temporary residue sitting on the bright white base. For stubborn dried marks, a dilute bleach solution works safely. Avoid abrasive pads.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
