The Stone

Colour:

Brown Grey Taupe

Warm brown-grey base with fine dark speckling and sparse lighter wisps in a matte concrete-inspired finish.

Silestone Brass Relish opens with a uniform mid-tone warm brown-grey base — a colour that sits between taupe and concrete grey with a warmth that prevents it from feeling industrial-cold. Extremely subtle, sparse wisps of lighter grey to off-white drift irregularly through the surface, offering minimal movement. Fine dark grey to black speckles are evenly distributed throughout, and the matte or honed finish absorbs light quietly. Despite its name, there is no brass colour or metallic quality here — this is a warm, earthy concrete-effect surface that prioritises restraint over statement. The brown-grey tone is distinctive within the Urban Crush collection, offering a middle ground between the lighter Concrete Pulse and the darker Cinder Craze. It brings warmth to industrial-leaning kitchens without the intensity of a dark surface. Part of Silestone's Urban Crush collection, manufactured in Almería, Spain with Hybriq+® technology. Minimum 20% recycled content, 100% renewable energy. Non-porous, stain-resistant, no sealing required. Available in jumbo 327 × 159 cm slabs with a 25-year warranty. Installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Brass Relish

Is Silestone Brass Relish actually brass-coloured?
No. Despite the name, Brass Relish is a warm mid-tone brown-grey with no metallic or brass-like quality. It reads as a warm concrete-inspired surface — earthy and grounded rather than metallic. The name references the Urban Crush collection's creative naming convention rather than the actual surface colour.
What design schemes suit Brass Relish?
The warm brown-grey tone works in industrial kitchens, Scandinavian-inspired spaces, and contemporary rustic designs. It pairs beautifully with natural oak or walnut cabinetry, white cabinets for clean contrast, or warm grey tones for a tonal scheme. The warmth in the base makes it more approachable than cooler concrete effects, working well in family kitchens and open-plan living spaces.
How does Brass Relish perform in a busy kitchen?
Brass Relish has the same high-performance Hybriq+® composition as all Silestone surfaces. It is scratch-resistant, stain-resistant, and completely non-porous. The mid-tone brown-grey with fine speckling is one of the most practical colours available — it hides crumbs, water marks, and everyday kitchen marks exceptionally well.
Where is Brass Relish manufactured?
Manufactured by Cosentino in Almería, Spain using Hybriq+® technology. The composition includes minimum 20% recycled materials and production uses 100% renewable electricity with 99% recycled water. Brass Relish carries NSF food safety certification and a 25-year warranty.
Does the matte finish require special care?
No special care at all. The matte finish is actually easier to maintain than polished surfaces — fingerprints and water marks are essentially invisible. Clean daily with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The non-porous surface means nothing can stain permanently. Avoid abrasive pads to preserve the matte character.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
