The Stone

See the natural beauty of Cinder Craze up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Dark charcoal base with fine granular speckling and sparse wispy grey veining in matte concrete character.

Silestone Cinder Craze inhabits the darker end of the concrete spectrum with a deep charcoal base that carries a subtle warm grey undertone. Fine granular speckling of tiny dark grey and black particles runs consistently throughout the surface, while sparse thread-like veining in lighter mid-grey and cloudy off-white meanders randomly — appearing more as diffused wisps than distinct lines. The matte or honed finish completes the industrial character. The effect is of refined, polished concrete or fine-grained dark natural stone — industrial in its DNA but smooth and precise in its execution. Cinder Craze has a quietness about it despite the dark colour; the wispy lighter tones prevent the surface from reading as flat or monolithic. It creates a moody, atmospheric surface that works particularly well under warm-toned lighting. Part of Silestone's Urban Crush collection, manufactured in Almería, Spain with Hybriq+® technology. Minimum 20% recycled materials, 100% renewable energy. Non-porous, stain-resistant despite the dark matte finish. Supplied in jumbo 327 × 159 cm slabs with a 25-year warranty. Installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Cinder Craze

How dark is Silestone Cinder Craze?
Cinder Craze is a deep charcoal grey with a subtle warm undertone — dark enough to make a strong design statement but not a true black. The fine granular speckling and sparse lighter grey wisps add tonal variation that prevents it from feeling flat. Under warm lighting the warmth in the base comes through; under cooler lighting it reads as a richer, deeper charcoal.
What cabinetry colours balance Cinder Craze?
Lighter cabinetry provides the most effective contrast — white, pale grey, or light timber in oak or ash. For a moodier, enveloping kitchen, mid-tone warm grey or dark green cabinets create an atmospheric cocoon. The warm undertone in the charcoal means it pairs better with warm metallics like brass or copper than with cool chrome.
Does the dark matte finish show every mark?
Less than you might expect. The matte finish hides fingerprints and water marks far better than a polished dark surface would. The fine granular speckling also helps disguise minor kitchen residue. A daily wipe keeps it pristine. It is significantly more practical than polished black granite or a glossy dark quartz.
Where is Cinder Craze produced?
Manufactured by Cosentino at their facility in Almería, southern Spain using Hybriq+® technology. The process uses minimum 20% recycled materials, 100% renewable electricity, and 99% recycled water. Cinder Craze carries NSF certification for food contact safety.
What cleaning routine suits Cinder Craze?
Wipe with a damp microfibre cloth and mild detergent. The matte texture means you rarely need to buff dry — streaks and water spots are far less visible than on polished surfaces. For stubborn dried-on marks, use a non-abrasive cleaner with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive pads that could smooth out the intended matte texture.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
