The Stone

See the natural beauty of Lyra up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Colour:

White Brown

Off-white base densely covered with intricate warm brown-grey veining in a busy organic marble pattern.

Silestone Lyra fills its off-white base with a dense, busy network of warm brown-grey veining that moves organically across the entire slab. The veins are fine and thread-like, varying slightly in thickness but never becoming bold or dramatic. Their warm brown-grey tone is consistent throughout, creating a surface that reads as richly textured rather than heavily veined — there is a difference, and Lyra sits firmly on the textured side. The density of veining here is noticeably higher than most marble-effect surfaces in the Silestone range. The pattern has a random, organic quality with no repeating direction or structure — each section of the slab looks naturally different while maintaining a cohesive character. The polished finish adds a subtle sheen that catches light across the vein network, emphasising the depth of the patterning. Lyra sits within Silestone's Nebula collection and is manufactured in Almería, Spain using Hybriq+® technology. The composition incorporates minimum 20% recycled materials, and production uses 100% renewable energy. Non-porous, stain-resistant, acid-resistant, and backed by a 25-year warranty. Supplied in jumbo 327 × 159 cm slabs. Installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Lyra

What does Silestone Lyra look like — is it a busy surface?
Yes, Lyra is one of the busier marble-effect surfaces in the Silestone range. The off-white base is densely covered with fine warm brown-grey veining that creates an all-over organic texture. It is not plain or minimalist — the intricate vein network gives every section of the worktop visual interest. If you prefer bold simplicity, look at simpler options; if you want rich texture, Lyra delivers.
What kitchen designs suit Lyra best?
Lyra's busy veining means it works best with simpler, quieter cabinetry that lets the worktop be the focal point. Plain white, soft grey, or cream cabinets with clean lines allow the intricate patterning to shine. Handleless designs in particular complement the organic movement. Avoid heavily patterned splashbacks or tiles — let Lyra's texture speak for itself.
How hard-wearing is Lyra for everyday cooking?
Extremely hard-wearing. Lyra's mineral composition gives it high resistance to scratches, stains, and impacts. The non-porous surface means that cooking liquids, oils, and sauces cannot stain the worktop even if left for extended periods. The polished finish holds up well under daily use and does not dull over time with normal kitchen cleaning.
Is Lyra made sustainably?
Lyra is manufactured using Cosentino's Hybriq+® technology in Almería, Spain. The process uses minimum 20% recycled materials in the composition, runs on 100% renewable electricity, and recycles 99% of water used in production. Silestone was the first surface brand to achieve these sustainability benchmarks at scale.
What is the best way to maintain Lyra worktops long-term?
Lyra needs very little maintenance. Wipe daily with a damp microfibre cloth and mild soap. The dense veining pattern has a practical benefit — it hides minor water marks and everyday kitchen marks better than plain or lightly veined surfaces. For dried-on food or limescale, use a non-abrasive cleaner like Q-Action. Always use trivets for hot pans to prevent thermal shock.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
