The Stone

See the natural beauty of Poblenou up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Light warm grey base with beige undertones and diffuse mottled patterning in refined matte concrete style.

Silestone Poblenou presents a light-to-mid warm grey base with subtle beige undertones that prevent it from reading as cold or clinical. The surface carries a dense, random mottled pattern of lighter off-white to very pale beige patches against the warm grey, creating a diffuse granular movement without any prominent veining or directional flow. The result is a surface that feels organically textured — warm, grounded, and quietly complex. The matte or honed finish is central to Poblenou's identity. Without reflections, the surface absorbs light and creates a calm, sophisticated atmosphere. The mottled patterning is subtle enough to read as near-uniform from across a room, with the warm grey-beige tonal variation becoming apparent at closer range. Named after Barcelona's creative Poblenou district, it channels the same blend of industrial heritage and contemporary refinement. Part of Silestone's Loft collection, manufactured in Almería, Spain with Hybriq+® technology. Minimum 20% recycled content, 100% renewable energy. Non-porous despite the matte finish, stain-resistant, no sealing required. Available in jumbo 327 × 159 cm slabs with a 25-year warranty. Installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Poblenou

What colour is Silestone Poblenou?
Poblenou is a light-to-mid warm grey with subtle beige undertones. It reads warmer than a typical concrete grey, sitting in greige territory. The diffuse mottled patches of lighter off-white and pale beige add tonal variation across the surface. Under warm lighting the beige warmth becomes more prominent; under cooler lighting the grey dominates.
What kitchen styles suit Poblenou?
Poblenou excels in modern urban kitchens, Scandinavian-inspired spaces, and relaxed contemporary designs. The warm grey-beige tone pairs beautifully with natural timber, white cabinetry, and matte black hardware. It works alongside exposed brick, polished concrete flooring, and industrial-style pendant lighting. The warm undertones make it more approachable than cooler concrete effects.
Is the matte finish on Poblenou durable?
The matte finish does not affect durability in any way. Poblenou has the same scratch resistance, stain resistance, and non-porous properties as any polished Silestone surface. The matte texture is actually more practical for daily use — fingerprints and water marks are virtually invisible compared to polished surfaces.
Where does the name Poblenou come from?
Poblenou is named after Barcelona's Poblenou district — a former industrial quarter transformed into one of the city's most creative neighbourhoods. Cosentino, the manufacturer, is based in Spain, and the Loft collection draws design inspiration from urban architecture and converted industrial spaces. The surface is manufactured in Almería, Spain using Hybriq+® technology.
How do I maintain Poblenou worktops?
Daily cleaning with a damp cloth and mild detergent is all that is needed. The matte finish means no buffing dry is necessary — streaks simply do not form. For stubborn marks, a soft brush and non-abrasive cleaner work well. The non-porous surface never needs sealing and cannot absorb liquids.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
