The Stone

See the natural beauty of Bianco Superiore up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartzite unique.

Colour:

White Cream Green

A commanding display of cool grey-green veining slicing through warm cream-white — Brazilian quartzite at its most assertive.

Bianco Superiore quartzite lives up to its name — 'superiore' meaning superior in Italian. Quarried in the state of Bahia, Brazil, this striking stone features a warm, luminous cream-white base intersected by bold, dramatic veins of cool grey and olive-green that sweep in powerful, angular formations across the polished surface. The dynamic tension between the warm base and cool veining creates a beautifully balanced aesthetic with genuine visual drama. Composed of approximately 75% quartz with muscovite and feldspar, Bianco Superiore is harder than granite and delivers exceptional performance across all practical measures. It's available in polished, leathered, and honed finishes, and its UV stability makes it suitable for outdoor applications as well as indoor ones. Low maintenance with periodic sealing keeps it performing beautifully for decades. At In2stone, we appreciate Bianco Superiore's bold character. This is not a stone that fades into the background — its commanding veining demands attention and rewards it with a kitchen centrepiece that feels confident and contemporary. Our stonemasons work with the angular vein direction to create compositions that enhance your kitchen's layout, ensuring the stone's natural drama works with the space rather than against it.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Bianco Superiore

What does Bianco Superiore quartzite look like?
Bianco Superiore features a warm cream-white base with bold, dramatic veins of cool grey and olive-green sweeping in powerful angular formations across the polished surface. It's a high-impact stone with strong contrast and real visual energy — superior clarity and commanding veining that demands attention.
What kitchen styles does Bianco Superiore suit?
Bianco Superiore's bold character works best in confident, design-forward interiors. It's stunning with dark navy or charcoal cabinetry for maximum contrast, or with warm timber and brass accents for a sophisticated natural scheme. The green undertones in the veining pair particularly well with botanical and nature-inspired designs.
How hard is Bianco Superiore quartzite compared to granite?
Harder. Bianco Superiore is composed of approximately 75% quartz with muscovite and feldspar, giving it a Mohs hardness of 7 — exceeding most granites at Mohs 6-7. This translates to better scratch resistance and overall durability for daily kitchen use.
Can Bianco Superiore quartzite be used outdoors?
Yes. Bianco Superiore is UV-stable and weather-resistant, making it suitable for outdoor kitchens, garden features, and external cladding. Natural quartzite won't fade or discolour in sunlight — a significant advantage over engineered quartz, which can yellow with UV exposure.
What maintenance does Bianco Superiore quartzite require?
Low maintenance. Clean daily with warm water and pH-neutral soap. Seal periodically — we recommend annually for kitchen worktops. The stone naturally resists heat, scratches, and acidic spills. Its warm cream-white colour is more forgiving with everyday use than pure white surfaces.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
