Natural Veined Polished

The finest expression of the Cristallo lineage — exceptional clarity with refined golden-amber veining.

Cristallo Extra quartzite represents the absolute pinnacle of the celebrated Cristallo family. This premium Brazilian quartzite is the 'Extra' grade — the highest quality slab selection available — offering exceptional clarity with a pristinely luminous ivory-white base, delicate flowing veins of warm golden-amber and gentle brown-rose, and soft hints of blue-grey adding cool contrast within the predominantly warm palette. Every aspect is more refined, more subtle, more luminous than the standard Cristallo. The Extra grading means these slabs have been selected for superior translucency, more even colour distribution, and fewer inclusions. They share the same harder-than-granite physical properties as all Cristallo quartzite — Mohs 7+ hardness, excellent heat resistance, and genuine scratch resistance. Backlighting reveals even more of the Extra grade's remarkable transparency. In2stone reserves Cristallo Extra for clients who appreciate the distinction between excellent and truly exceptional. Our stonemasons handle Extra grade slabs with heightened care — every cut, every edge, every join is executed with the precision that this calibre of natural stone demands. The result is an installation of pure, refined, natural luxury.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Cristallo Extra

What makes Cristallo Extra 'Extra' grade?
The Extra grading means these slabs have been specifically selected for superior translucency, more even colour distribution, and fewer natural inclusions than standard Cristallo. They represent the highest quality slab selection from the quarry — the very best pieces from an already exceptional stone.
Is Cristallo Extra more expensive than standard Cristallo?
Yes — the Extra grade commands a premium because it represents the top-tier selection from the quarry. Fewer slabs meet the Extra criteria, making them rarer. However, both standard and Extra Cristallo are price band 5 stones — the difference is in the refinement and consistency of the individual slabs.
Can Cristallo Extra also be backlit?
Yes — Cristallo Extra's superior translucency actually makes it even more spectacular when backlit than the standard grade. The exceptional clarity creates a more luminous, even glow. We recommend discussing backlighting options during the design phase so our team can plan the installation accordingly.
What are the blue-grey accents in Cristallo Extra?
Soft hints of blue-grey appear as cool contrast within the predominantly warm ivory-white and golden-amber palette. These cool accents add visual interest and prevent the stone from feeling one-dimensional. They're a subtle characteristic of the Extra grade that distinguishes it from the warmer-toned standard Cristallo.
How do you care for a premium quartzite like Cristallo Extra?
The same care as any quartzite — daily cleaning with warm water and pH-neutral soap, annual sealing. The premium grade doesn't require any special maintenance beyond standard stone care. Use chopping boards and trivets as standard practice. The stone's Mohs 7+ hardness means it handles daily life with ease.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
