Veined Natural Polished

Pearl-toned quartzite from Santana, Ceará — cool grey-white base with sweeping taupe-brown and grey formations in flowing diagonal harmony.

Perla Santana quartzite draws its name from its quarry origin in Santana, Ceará, and from the pearl-like quality of its luminous surface. Quarried by Granitos S/A (established September 2015) and also distributed by Borchardt Stone of Espírito Santo, this softly luminous stone features a pale, cool grey-white base through which broad, sweeping formations of warm taupe-brown and gentle grey create flowing diagonal movement. The harmonious blend of cool grey and warm brown undertones produces a beautifully balanced, pearl-toned aesthetic. Perla Santana occupies a sweet spot between understated and characterful. It has enough visual movement to keep the surface interesting and engaging, but its neutral palette never competes with surrounding design elements. The diagonal flow creates a dynamic quality that adds energy to kitchens without visual noise. Its quartzite hardness ensures it handles daily life with the robust practicality the material is known for. In2stone values Perla Santana for its refined versatility. Our craftsmen's attention to the diagonal flow direction ensures that the sweeping formations enhance the kitchen's sense of space and movement — a subtlety that makes the difference between a good installation and a great one.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Perla Santana

What does Perla Santana quartzite look like?
Perla Santana features a pale, cool grey-white base with broad, sweeping formations of warm taupe-brown and gentle grey creating flowing diagonal movement across the polished surface. The blend of cool grey and warm brown tones produces a harmonious, pearl-like quality — luminous, balanced, and sophisticated. It strikes a lovely middle ground between understated simplicity and characterful natural movement.
Where is Perla Santana quartzite from?
Perla Santana is quarried in Santana, in the Ceará state of northeastern Brazil by Granitos S/A, a company established in September 2015. It is also distributed by Borchardt Stone from Espírito Santo. Ceará is a less commonly associated quartzite region than Minas Gerais or Bahia, making Perla Santana's origin somewhat distinctive in the quartzite market.
What kitchen designs work with Perla Santana quartzite?
Perla Santana's balanced neutral palette works in a wide range of kitchen styles. Its cool grey-white base suits contemporary and minimalist schemes, while the warm taupe formations add enough warmth for transitional and classic-modern kitchens. Pair with pale grey, warm white, or light wood cabinetry for a harmonious feel. For contrast, charcoal or navy units let the pearl-toned surface glow.
How durable is Perla Santana quartzite?
Perla Santana delivers the full quartzite performance specification: Mohs 7 hardness for exceptional scratch resistance, genuine heat tolerance, UV stability, and reliable stain resistance when sealed annually. It handles daily kitchen use — knives, hot pans, acidic spills — without issues. The resilience is identical to any premium quartzite regardless of visual complexity or price band.
What maintenance does Perla Santana quartzite need?
Seal annually with an impregnating stone sealer and clean daily with warm water and pH-neutral soap. Blot coloured spills promptly. Avoid acidic cleaners. Perla Santana's multi-tonal neutral palette is fairly forgiving with everyday marks and imperfections — the warm-cool interplay helps camouflage minor issues better than a uniform white stone would.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
