Quarried in Brazil and also known as Platino Quartzite or Platinum Silver Quartzite, this pristinely luminous stone presents a bright, cool white base with delicate clusters of soft grey mineral formations and fine, branching veins creating a subtly textured, frost-like quality. The natural shimmer from its fine crystalline structure adds a platinum-toned lustre that sets it apart from flat, featureless white surfaces. At Mohs 7-8, Platinum White is exceptionally hard — even by quartzite standards. Its non-porous character means it naturally resists stains, moisture, and bacterial growth. UV-resistant and weather-resistant, it handles freezing temperatures, humidity, and rain without degradation, making it genuinely suitable for outdoor kitchen installations in the UK climate as well as indoor spaces.
