Natural Textured Layered

Light warm beige sintered stone with horizontal banded grain lines — a soft, layered natural stone surface.

Dekton Danae layers soft horizontal bands across a warm, natural canvas. Its dominant light warm beige base is patterned with distinct horizontal bands of wavy irregular lines in slightly deeper warm beige-brown, varying from fine to medium thickness and creating a moderately dense layered effect. Very subtle minute dark speckles are distributed across the surface. The matte or honed finish has no visible sheen, keeping the surface honest and tactile. Danae's horizontal banding creates a sense of geological stratigraphy — layers of sediment compressed over time. It references the natural formation of limestone or sandstone without imitating any specific stone. Engineered by Cosentino using TSP technology. Null porosity, UV resistant, A1 fire certified. 25-year warranty. Carbon neutral. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Danae

What does Dekton Danae look like?
Danae has a light warm beige base with distinct horizontal bands of wavy irregular lines in deeper warm beige-brown. Very subtle dark speckles add fine detail. The matte finish has no sheen. It reads as a soft, layered natural stone — like compressed sedimentary rock with gentle horizontal movement and warm, earthy tones.
What creates the horizontal banding?
The wavy beige-brown lines flow horizontally across the slab in irregular, organic patterns that suggest geological layering. This banding creates a sense of depth and natural formation — as if the surface was formed by millennia of sedimentary compression. The moderate density keeps it engaging without being busy.
Is Danae suitable for bathroom vanities?
Ideal — the warm beige tones and matte finish create a spa-like atmosphere. Dekton's null porosity handles moisture, cosmetics, and bathroom chemicals without staining. The surface never needs sealing. Available in thin formats for wall cladding to create a cohesive bathroom scheme.
How does the matte finish compare to polished?
Matte finishes show fewer fingerprints and water marks than polished alternatives. The tactile, non-reflective quality feels more natural and grounded. Danae's character particularly suits matte — the horizontal banding and subtle speckles are best appreciated without glare from a polished surface competing for attention.
Can Danae be used for a splashback?
Yes — Dekton is available in 4mm and 8mm thicknesses ideal for splashbacks and wall cladding. A continuous Danae worktop-to-splashback creates a beautiful seamless feature. The horizontal banding flows naturally up the wall, creating visual continuity. Null porosity means cooking splashes wipe clean easily.

"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
