The Stone

Colour:

Beige Brown

Muted warm beige sintered stone with horizontal grain patterning — a subtle, natural wood-effect surface.

Dekton Kedar translates organic grain patterns into ultracompact sintered stone. Its consistent muted warm beige base carries subtle horizontal grain-like patterns with gentle undulations and occasional soft swirls. The predominantly fine to medium-thin patterning in slightly darker warm brown creates a moderately dense organic pattern across the entire slab. The matte or honed finish has a fine granular texture visible throughout, reinforcing the natural, tactile character. Kedar delivers the warmth of natural timber with the performance of sintered stone — null porosity, heat resistance, and UV stability that no real wood could match. Engineered by Cosentino using TSP technology. A1 fire certified. 25-year warranty. Carbon neutral. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Kedar

What does Dekton Kedar look like?
Kedar has a muted warm beige base with subtle horizontal grain-like patterns in slightly darker warm brown, featuring gentle undulations and occasional soft swirls. The matte finish has a fine granular texture. It reads as a warm, natural surface with organic grain character — understated and warmly inviting.
Does Kedar feel like wood?
The matte finish with fine granular texture gives Kedar a tactile quality that references natural timber without replicating it. It doesn't pretend to be wood — it's sintered stone that draws on organic grain patterns for its visual warmth. The result feels honest and premium rather than imitative.
Can Kedar be used for an outdoor kitchen?
Yes — unlike real wood, Dekton is UV resistant, waterproof (null porosity), and freeze-thaw stable. Kedar's warm, organic character works beautifully in outdoor kitchen settings where natural timber would degrade. It won't fade, warp, crack, or absorb moisture regardless of weather exposure.
What cabinetry suits Kedar?
The warm beige grain character pairs naturally with white or cream cabinetry for a bright, airy kitchen. Matt black or charcoal cabinetry creates sophisticated contrast. Natural timber cabinetry continues the warm organic theme. Brushed brass or antique bronze hardware complements the warm brown tones.
How thick should a Kedar worktop be?
For kitchen worktops, 20mm or 30mm is standard. Dekton is also available in 4mm and 8mm for splashbacks, wall cladding, and flooring. The 12mm format suits furniture applications. In2Stone will recommend the appropriate thickness based on your specific application and design preferences.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
