The Stone

Style:

Concrete Effect Industrial Dark

Deep warm charcoal sintered stone with taupe undulating movement — a dark, earthily organic industrial surface.

Dekton Radium sinks into deep, earthy darkness. Its very deep warm charcoal base leans towards dark brown-grey. Subtle broad amorphous areas of muted mid-grey to light taupe create undulating somewhat horizontal movement across the slab at moderate density. Fine granular texture is visible throughout, especially in the lighter regions. The matte or honed finish absorbs light rather than reflecting it. Radium is the darkest warm design in the Industrial collection — where Milar has olive undertones, Radium is purer dark brown-grey. The taupe lighter areas prevent it from being uniformly dark, adding organic depth. Engineered by Cosentino using TSP technology. Null porosity, UV resistant, A1 fire certified. 25-year warranty. Carbon neutral. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Radium

What does Dekton Radium look like?
Radium has a very deep warm charcoal base leaning towards dark brown-grey. Subtle broad areas of mid-grey to light taupe create undulating horizontal movement. Fine granular texture is visible in lighter regions. Matte finish. It's a dark, earthily organic surface — deep charcoal with enough taupe variation to prevent flatness.
How dark is Radium?
Radium is one of the darkest designs in the Dekton range. The deep warm charcoal base absorbs rather than reflects light. The lighter taupe areas provide some contrast but the overall impression is decidedly dark. Under artificial lighting, the warm brown-grey undertones become more apparent. It creates a moody, enveloping atmosphere.
How does Radium compare to Milar?
Both are dark Industrial designs but with different undertones. Milar has olive-green undertones within its charcoal — more complex and unusual. Radium is purer dark brown-grey — warmer and more straightforward. Milar references oxidised metal; Radium references dark aged concrete. Both are deeply earthy.
Is very dark practical?
Dark matte surfaces show dust and light-coloured marks more readily. However, Radium's taupe variations and granular texture help camouflage daily wear better than a pure uniform dark surface. Dekton's null porosity means nothing stains permanently. Regular wiping with a microfibre cloth keeps dark surfaces pristine.
What cabinetry suits Radium?
White or light cabinetry creates essential brightness and contrast — recommended for most kitchens to prevent the space feeling too enclosed. Natural timber adds warmth. For deliberately moody, immersive schemes, dark cabinetry with carefully planned lighting can be dramatic. Brass or gold hardware provides warm accent points against the dark surface.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
