Natural Textured Rugged

Pale warm grey sintered stone with dense pitting and earthy brown cavities — a rugged, three-dimensional stone surface.

Dekton Sabbia — Italian for sand — creates the most texturally dramatic surface in the Pietra Kode collection. Its pale warm grey base has subtle variations leaning towards off-white and light beige. A dense random pattern of irregular pits and small to medium-sized cavities defines the surface, often filled or outlined with contrasting warm brown-grey to dark beige-brown tones. The result is a highly textured, granular appearance with genuine three-dimensional depth. The matte finish has no sheen, emphasising the rugged tactile quality. Sabbia captures the character of raw quarried stone — a surface that feels pulled directly from the earth. For kitchens and bathrooms that want authentic material honesty. Engineered by Cosentino using TSP technology. Null porosity, UV resistant, A1 fire certified. 25-year warranty. Carbon neutral. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Sabbia

What does Dekton Sabbia look like?
Sabbia has a pale warm grey base with dense irregular pitting and small to medium cavities filled or outlined in warm brown-grey to dark beige-brown. The matte finish emphasises the rugged, three-dimensional texture. It reads as raw quarried stone — earthy, honest, and dramatically tactile. The most texturally intense Pietra Kode design.
What does the name Sabbia mean?
Sabbia is Italian for 'sand' — referencing the earthy, granular quality of the surface. The sandy warm tones and rough-hewn texture evoke sun-baked Mediterranean stone, quarried directly from the landscape.
Is the three-dimensional texture practical?
The textured surface is surprisingly practical. The pitted pattern hides daily wear, crumbs, and marks exceptionally well. Despite the rugged appearance, Dekton's null porosity means nothing can penetrate the surface — the cavities are sealed and hygienic. Cleaning with soap and water is straightforward regardless of the texture depth.
What design schemes suit Sabbia?
The rugged, earthy character suits Mediterranean, rustic, industrial, and wabi-sabi kitchen designs. Natural timber, raw metal, and handmade tiles create a cohesive material-honest aesthetic. The dramatic texture means other surfaces can be kept simple. Sabbia works particularly well as an island centrepiece with simpler perimeter worktops.
Can Sabbia be used for exterior cladding?
Ideal — the rugged, three-dimensional texture creates a dramatic architectural facade. Dekton's UV resistance means the warm grey tones won't fade. Null porosity prevents moisture damage and freeze-thaw cracking. The natural stone character suits residential and commercial exterior applications. Available in appropriate thin formats.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
