Colour:

Terracotta Salmon Pink

Muted terracotta sintered stone with warm earthy tonal variation and plaster texture — a distinctive, earthen surface.

Dekton Umber brings the warmth of sun-baked Mediterranean plaster into sintered stone. Its consistent muted terracotta base with warm earthy salmon-pink undertones has very subtle random movement through broad gentle tonal variations and finer short stroke-like marks slightly lighter or darker than the primary hue. The matte or honed finish suggests a finely textured or trowelled surface without speckling or flecking. Umber is named after the earth pigment — raw umber — sourced from the clay-rich soils of Umbria in central Italy. The surface captures that same earthy warmth: the terracotta-salmon tone is unlike anything else in the Dekton range. It's for kitchens that want genuine colour and warmth. Engineered by Cosentino using TSP technology. Null porosity, UV resistant, A1 fire certified. 25-year warranty. Carbon neutral. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Umber

What does Dekton Umber look like?
Umber has a muted terracotta base with warm salmon-pink undertones. Very subtle tonal variations and finer stroke-like marks create gentle random movement. The matte finish has a plaster-like texture without speckling. It reads as sun-baked Mediterranean plaster — warm, earthy, and distinctively coloured. Unlike any other Dekton design.
What does the name Umber mean?
Umber is an earth pigment — raw umber — traditionally sourced from clay-rich soils in Umbria, central Italy. It's one of the oldest pigments used in art and architecture. The name connects the surface to centuries of Mediterranean building tradition where terracotta and earth tones define the landscape.
Is terracotta a practical worktop colour?
The muted terracotta is surprisingly practical. The warm mid-tone hides marks and daily wear well. The subtle tonal variations and plaster-like texture further camouflage everyday use. Dekton's null porosity means turmeric, tomato sauce, and other warm-coloured foods won't stain — a genuine concern with lighter surfaces.
What cabinetry suits Umber?
Cream and warm white cabinetry creates a bright Mediterranean kitchen. Natural timber adds earthy warmth. Olive green creates a Tuscan colour palette. Dark charcoal provides sophisticated contrast. Brushed bronze or antique copper hardware complements the terracotta tones. Umber creates kitchens with genuine warmth and character.
Can Umber be used for exterior cladding?
Ideal — the terracotta character is perfectly suited to exterior wall cladding and facades. Dekton's UV resistance means the warm earthy colour won't fade in sunlight. Null porosity prevents weathering and moisture damage. The plaster-like texture suits Mediterranean, contemporary, and warm architectural styles.

"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
