This remarkable stone hails from the ancient, mineral-rich geological formations of South Africa. As an intrusive igneous rock, African Tapestry formed deep within the Earth's crust over millions of years, as molten magma slowly cooled and solidified. This slow process allowed large, interlocking crystals of quartz and feldspar to grow, creating granite's characteristic coarse-grained texture and exceptional durability, while the specific accessory minerals present contribute to its stunning sandy gold, olive grey, and charcoal palette.
