The Stone

See the natural beauty of Capraia up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this porcelain unique.

Colour:

White Brown

A distinctive white marble-effect porcelain with dramatic reddish-brown mineral formations and fine grey veining — unusual, striking, and richly coloured.

Capraia sets itself apart with an unusual and arresting colour palette. The clean white base carries delicate grey veining in soft flowing formations, but the defining feature is a dramatic concentration of dark reddish-brown to burgundy-maroon mineral formations at the centre — swirling organic shapes with grey and near-black accents that create a striking warm focal point against the white ground. This unexpected warm colour accent gives Capraia a character unlike any standard grey-veined marble. An exceptional choice for kitchen islands, feature walls, and bathroom vanities where distinctive marble character with genuine colour impact makes a lasting impression.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Capraia

How does Capraia compare to Bianco Statuario for drama?
Both feature bold grey veining on white, but Capraia pushes the contrast further — thicker, darker charcoal veining with near-black concentrations and more powerful sweep. Bianco Statuario is bold but remains within classic marble territory. Capraia feels more geological and raw, like the stone has been fractured by immense natural forces.
Is Capraia too bold for a standard-sized kitchen?
Bold veining works well at any scale — it's about proportion rather than room size. In a standard kitchen, Capraia creates a stunning feature on the main worktop run or island without overwhelming the space. Pair it with simple, solid-coloured cabinetry that doesn't compete with the dramatic veining.
What edge finish suits Capraia's dramatic character?
A clean mitred edge creates a contemporary look that lets the veining pattern flow uninterrupted. A waterfall edge on an island makes Capraia even more dramatic, with bold veins cascading down the side. Avoid overly ornate profiles that fight with the bold marble pattern.
Can Capraia be bookmatched for a symmetrical feature wall?
Bookmatching Capraia creates an exceptionally powerful visual — the bold asymmetric veining mirrored into butterfly symmetry produces a stunning, almost architectural pattern. This technique works particularly well on feature walls and full-height bathroom splashbacks where the scale amplifies the dramatic effect.
How durable is the surface for daily kitchen use?
Porcelain is one of the most durable premium surface materials available — it scores 7-8 on the Mohs hardness scale (compared to granite's 6-7), is completely non-porous, and resists heat up to 300°C with no damage. Daily kitchen use including hot pans, sharp knives, and acidic foods poses zero risk to the surface.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
