Solid Plain

The deepest black porcelain — a commanding, light-absorbing surface for bold, uncompromising design statements.

Absolute Black is the definitive expression of darkness in porcelain — a deep, pure black surface that absorbs all light and commands absolute attention. There is no veining, no texture, and no pattern to soften its impact. This is a surface for designers and homeowners who understand the power of unrelenting simplicity — the kind of bold choice that transforms a kitchen island into a monolith, a bathroom vanity into a sculptural statement, or a commercial counter into an exercise in architectural precision. When paired with metallic accents, warm lighting, or richly textured materials, Absolute Black creates extraordinary contrast that elevates every surrounding element. Crafted by Gruppo Concorde in Italy at 3200 × 1600mm with the full performance benefits of sintered porcelain.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Absolute Black

How dark is Infinity Absolute Black?
Absolute Black is exactly what its name suggests — a completely pure, uniform, deep black surface with no veining, no pattern, and no tonal variation. It is the blackest surface in the Infinity collection and one of the blackest solid-colour porcelain surfaces available, offering maximum visual impact and dramatic intensity.
Does Infinity Absolute Black show fingerprints?
Like all pure black surfaces, Absolute Black can show fingerprints more readily than patterned or lighter surfaces, particularly in the Polished finish. The Matte finish reduces fingerprint visibility significantly. For kitchens where fingerprint visibility is a concern, the Matte finish is the more practical choice while still delivering the dramatic impact of pure black.
What design effect does Infinity Absolute Black create?
Absolute Black creates maximum drama and architectural impact. It makes surrounding elements pop with contrast, grounds a room with visual weight, and creates a sense of luxury and sophistication. In large kitchens, a black island becomes an anchoring statement piece. In bathrooms, Absolute Black creates an intimate, hotel-like atmosphere.
What cabinet colours work with Infinity Absolute Black?
White and cream cabinets create the highest contrast and most dramatic effect. Dark timber provides warmth against the black. Charcoal and dark grey cabinets create a tonal, sculptural scheme. Olive green and deep navy offer sophisticated colour alongside the black. Brushed brass hardware adds warmth and luxury against the dark surface.
Is Infinity Absolute Black scratch-resistant?
Yes, Absolute Black is extremely scratch-resistant thanks to the hardness of sintered porcelain. However, on a pure black polished surface, any scratch would be more visible than on a patterned or lighter surface. Using chopping boards is recommended as best practice, though the surface itself will withstand normal kitchen use exceptionally well.

"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
